I think I have lost my salvation:(
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I sinned greatly against God by purchasing a game I rented first, then evenually bought and several believers on here told me not to purchase but I gave in to the temptation and purchased it anyway. I played the game through rental and eventually purchased it. After awhile I started to realized that I sinned through Bible reading and I began to weep and beg God and at first I contemplated on selling the game and my system but I decided to give the system away to a family member who lives with me. She now has the game and system. I'm wondering first if I did the right thing and if it would have been better for me to sell both the game and the system and get rid of it? I feel like I sinned against God so much over the last 2 years that I have run out of chances and I feel really scared now that I may not be saved.
I want to apologize to my brethern and sisters on here who warned me not to buy it.

The title of the video game would help, but I think we can safely say you're a nutjob, but more importantly, you live with a FEMALE? Don't you realise you're living in sin? Kill her immediatly and bathe in her blood. It's the only way to get right with Jesus.
So just because one video game is tasteless and violent, all video games are automatically evil?
If giest doesn't want to play games with objectionable content, there are hundreds of E-rated games on the market. There is nothing wrong with playing an E-rated game, as long as you do so in moderation. Hell, most T-rated games are pretty mild.

Yet one more good reason to end the spiritual terrorism perpetrated by theism. This nut-job now lives in fear of burning forever because of video game. Wouldn't it be simpler for the theists to just tie someone down and drive concordance pages under their fingernails?
Don't you love how religion ruins lives?
Anyway, he should have burned it, cuz now he's corrupting someone else by giving it to them.
Dude, I don't think salvation rests on whether or not you play a game.
Still, I bet the guy you gave it to is having a blast.

True, but the last church I visited had cookies and Black Cherry Kool-Aid.
He's going to miss out on the Black Cherry Kool-Aid!

Uh huh...that's the worst kind of sinning, all right.
I decided to give the system away to a family member who lives with me.
Haha - This game is so evil, I gave it my sister. Let Satan have them both.
"For those curious, the game in question is Saint's Row 2."
I would have bet money on it being "Spore". :-)
@Asuka: "Silent Hill a GTA knockoff? Since when?"
He meant to say, "Silent Hill and that GTA rip-off, Saint's Row."
:)
fortunately for you (and all of us) God is even better at handing out chances than we are at wasting them, I don't know what game you purchased, but I doubt it's as bad as you think it is. you have not committed any unforgivable sins. now take a deep breath and go on.
I'm wondering if this is Poe.
But what the Hell is this?:
Do you question your salvation?
After 51 posts, we know you like soup, Halloween and JohnRambo, but not one word said about Jesus.
Jeez, it's like a witch hunt. I don't think I said anything about Fundies in my first 50 posts on FSTDT's forum, either, but I clearly find bashing them entertaining.

This is just so horribly, horribly sad. I think someone needs to see Thunderfoots last video. If one sin makes you a sinner then by the same example doesn't one good act make you good? And since only God is good, doesn't that make you God?
Re:aaa's post
"What do you mean, a female mime, opened up a 55 Gallon Drum of Whupass on our reinforcements, when they arrived at the "Technically Legal"...?".
Note: I actually did this when attacking the Ronin's Misty Lane Stronghold, abeit the Whupass being in the form of a Squad Automatic Weapon (SAW)...
Best $20,000, my character spent...
The unforgivable sin is Saints Row 2.
Well, I for one, am suprised.
1. You can't lose your salvation (eternal security anyone?). Geez, I thought you retards would at least know this but then again, your kind believes in all kinds of bullshit.
2. Lose salvation because of a videogame? So you're telling me playing Grand Theft Auto clone is the equivalent of doing drivebys in front of an elementary school? It's just a game for cripes' sake. It's a lot better than doing murder and robbery in real life.
Hell, look at me. I've played some of the most violent games out there and I have never beaten anybody up nor have I shoplifted.
Sinned against the Bible? Yeah, maybe because you're in that RR cult.

I'm going to hell because of these games:
Grand Theft Auto IV: Banged a prostitute without marrying her
Fable: Beating up children (Technically, this one shouldn't count because the child in question made fun of my appearance, but God, being the spiteful asshole he is, will find an excuse)
Rock Band: Acing Paranoid on Expert, showing how in sync I am with his satanic majesty
Disgaea: Played and enjoyed it. A no brainer
Super Smash Bros Brawl: Sometimes, I don't play as Pit.
Bioshock: I absorbed a Little Sister's lifeforce without marrying her.
Feels good to get this stuff off my chest. =)
I thought dispensational/rapture retards believed in once-saved-always-saved/eternal security/perseverance of the saints (as Calvin called it). So by RR standards, you can't lose your salvation. But I wouldn't worry about it, your god isn't real anyway.
This whole post is just pathetic and sad. I mean, god. So entrenched in religion are you that you can't even allow yourself to have a bit of fun anymore without having an anxiety attack about it. This is the type of thing that others would tell you to seek help for if it were about something else. I still think you should seek help anyway, because living like this isn't healthy.
I'm pretty sure most your Fundie bretheren would recommend you destroy the game,,and the machine that's forever corrupted by it. Gods gotta be pissed you took 30 pieces of silver for it or some other such shit transaction.
Most times these fundies destroy those evil dolls, books, games or toys. I've seen it so much, with organized church events even, I wonder how much money was remade on all these products.
Remember when John Lennon said the Beatles were bigger than Jesus, American churchs organized mass burnings of ALL Beatle albums. They couldn't keep them on the shelves after that, some Fundies probably bought them just to burn them. It marked one of the first cases of churchs actually helping the economy!
How much has Harry Potter burnings increased final sales?
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
