[Why are they (females) physically incapable of being ordained?]
Because of divine mandate. The Church has no power to confer the priesthood unto women. It's not that the Holy See is choosing not to ordain: they simply cannot. It is not within the power of the Pope or bishops to alter divine mandate.
[And I don't think "sexist" means what you think it means.]
It's funny how you keep saying this yet you're wrong every single time. You are devaluating the female sex by trying to say they are the same as men, which is simply and obviously untrue.

I can't think of a single instance in the bible where God or Jesus said women can't be priests. I think you're confusing God with St. Paul.

Equality of status is not the same as equality of physiology retard.
This is one of the major problems I have with Christianity.
Paul > Jesus
Why they don't just call themselves Paulians is beyond me.
Oh and the females are too valuable to be priests is bullshit. Muslims use that same argument to keep their women locked in the house under wraps.
With this view of God as a capricious, cruelly arbitrary, and apparently also sexist (in the non-delusional meaning of the word) jackass, it's a wonder that people like Crimson Hellkite don't try to revive Gnosticism. I guess it would be too much work to shout "Ialdabaothdamnit!" when you got mad.
Because of divine mandate.
I'm still waiting to hear a convincing reason.

How odd. I, myself, have always felt that denying women a position (other than a certain small selection of careers that are, by defninition, male only--i.e. Chippendales dancers and NFL linebackers) based on their sex devalues them far more than the idea that they're Constitutionally equal to men.
Isn't you Christian rascals who keep banging on about how women are supposed to be subservient to men?
@revolt
It's part of a list of "special interest" boards which aren't game related.(read: they prevent most of the stupid from reaching the game related parts of the site)
But Crimson gets worse by claiming it's sexist that men can't give birth.

I predict a lot of lonely nights and at least one full-face punch.
Bullshit, they've changed Sabbath form saturday to Sunday, they changed the date of Easter from the Jewish pesach to some weird formula so it now always starts on a Sunday (and that'sbecause then Good Friday is always on a ... Friday, apparantly they they where afraid that if they just helt the rememberance of the crucifiction on the correct date that their followers might point out to them that the Bible says it was on a 'Friday' ).
Let's face it, the Roman Catholic church has changed so many things that Peter wouldn't recognize it if he would come back, so if they wanted they could definitly change this too.
"Because of divine mandate. "
It's funny how you keep saying this yet you're wrong every single time. You are devaluating human intelligence by saying this myth is true which is simply and obviously untrue
Fixed.
Papabear:
In Catholic mythology it *is* physically impossible to do.
Ordainment gives priests superpowers from god, while the process wouldn't work on women because god doesn't want them to have superpowers.
I have not yet heard a convincing argument why women can't do something simply on basis of gender, which does not include some reference to the past, religion, or some evo-psyche bullshit. Probably because all these arguments ARE all bullshit.
Cock ownership does not automatically equal clever, as example one shows.
So, it's not that the catholic hierarchy is comprised of sexist piggies; they would ordain women but are prevented from doing so?? Hmmm. Kind of sounds like bible god, who claims not to want anyone to perish and go to hell but for some reason just can't stop himself from condemning the majority of the world's population.
It's just "excuses, excuses, excuses" with you folks and your imaginary friends, isn't it?
first off: you guys can make your imaginary friend say anything you want, why not make him say women can be priests, see how many are interested to take the job.
2nd: @some posters here
it is true that IN GENERAL(in caps cause it's an important part of what i'm saying) men and women are suited better for different jobs, men are generally better at physical labour and leadership, women are generally better at education and parenting.
to all the feminazi's here: men and women are not the same, they are equal, what one lacks in abilities, the other complements.
"All right, all you guys over there, youse can be priests if you want to.
" And youse broads, youse can be ... oh, hell, I dunno ... youse can be floozies or sumthin'.
"And that's a mandate.
"That's a divine mandate!"
I think sad cunt aka Crimson Hellkite should become a woman for a year, suffer from bad period pains and other woman troubles, maybe get pregnant and give birth and then say women ain't equal to men. Ask me women are well above men with amount of crap they go through and put up with tosspots like you
Men and women are more similar than different. The key difference is that men have male genitals, generally have more body hair, and tend to be more violent, while women have female genitals, mammary glands, and tend to be more emotionally receptive. The boundaries that you perceive, and refer to as hardset, are established by a society that presupposes these roles to begin with.
Oh, and how DARE you sully the name of a perfectly good Magic card by using it as a pseudonym with which to post such rubbish. It is blasphemy of the highest caliber!
As a male, I'm physically incapable of giving birth. No law, papal bull or Church decision would change that fact.
What exactly prevents a woman, physically and anatomically, from saying mass? Please explain, without using Biblical arguments.
/You are devaluating the female sex by trying to say they are the same as men, which is simply and obviously untrue./
As opposed to saying that the female sex is less than men? How does that not devaluate us? Doublespeak, much?
Confused?
