One idea is that the atheist in all his glory has a very limited knowledge, but bases his belief on that limited knowledge. Therefore, it is sort of an egotism about his superiority, which is a well known fault and goes back to the beginning of man according to the Bible. Likewise, as more is know in science, the greater the chance of understanding God. If that idea is accepted, the next thing is to review the early days of science and the conflicts with the Church and how that set into being the attitude of the academicians and their requirements into their church. From that, it should be obvious that non-believers are unsophisticated and their attitude is unworthy of the knowledge that they do have. The corruption is that most learned people who live off of their knowledge will never admit that they really don't know much.

No no no no, you got it all wrong. An atheist recognizes that he has a limited knowledge and uses this limited knowledge as a reason for his lack of beliefs - because he knows he doesn't know if God exists or not. You are the one who is feeling superior, telling everyone around you that "you know for a fact that God exists" and that everyone who doesn't is a sinful bastard who deserves to burn in hell for not believing.
What little isn't too grammatically fucked to understand is just sad. It's "egotistical" to base your decisions on the sum of your knowledge while admitting to its limits but humble to assume that you know all that there is to know about the greatest mysteries of the universe? Sure. No doubt the pope would agree. And "unworthy" of our knowledge? We are "unworthy" of knowing what we have learned in spite of your best efforts? The knowledge with which we've made the world -- and continue to make the world -- a better place for ourselves and our children than it was for our ancestors in spite of your attempts to keep us chained to an age of ignorance and hardship?
The only thing "easy" about you, Edith, is how easily taken in you are by grandiose claims with no evidence or arguments beyond "believe and do what we tell you to believe and do unquestioningly or we'll torture you" to back them.
Likewise, as more is know in science, the greater the chance of understanding God.
I LOL'ed.

You mean how the church resisted the fact that the earth is round and revolves around the sun?
The corruption is that most learned people who live off of their knowledge will never admit that they really don't know much.
Careful about aiming that giant projector at that shiny mirror. You might end up catching a field of strawmen on fire.
"If that idea is accepted, the next thing is to review the early days of science and the conflicts with the Church and how that set into being the attitude of the academicians and their requirements into their church. "
Scientists didn't imprison the religious for not accepting any pre-determined idea, it was the other way round.
"Likewise, as more is know in science, the greater the chance of understanding God."
True, with education and a little research we realize God is an invention.
"If that idea is accepted, the next thing is to review the early days of science and the conflicts with the Church and how that set into being the attitude of the academicians and their requirements into their church."
I think you're trying to say you can't hide the churchs interference against science so you're trying to imply that scientists have an attitude against religion because the proof that religion has interfered MUST be ignored and hidden and science MUST be blamed for the disputes.
" The corruption is that most learned people who live off of their knowledge will never admit that they really don't know much."
That's really telling. People who make a living from practical skills and product can never equal full time fairy tale merchants who just spout the same non-productive shit they've spouted for 500 years.
“One idea is that the atheist in all his glory has a very limited knowledge, but bases his belief on that limited knowledge.”
Pretty much as all humans…
“Therefore, it is sort of an egotism about his superiority, which is a well known fault and goes back to the beginning of man according to the Bible.”
It’s not the amount of knowledge.
I can’t find any reason for Hell to exist. It makes no sense. It’s a ridiculous revenge fantasy, no basis for an ideology. But every discussion ends up with the threat. “Okay, better hope you’re right!”
" Likewise, as more is know in science, the greater the chance of understanding God.”
No. Science is naturalistic, God is supernatural.
“From that, it should be obvious that non-believers are unsophisticated and their attitude is unworthy of the knowledge that they do have.”
Yes, yes, the people who follow the book that says Earth is Flat are the sophisticated thinkers.
"The corruption is that most learned people who live off of their knowledge will never admit that they really don't know much.”
And those who depend heavily on ‘goddidit’ think they know something.
Confused?
