Proof that God exists!?
33% of the world's population is Christian.
21% of the world's population is Muslim.
Over 50% of the world's population believes in God.
World's top selling book of all time? The Bible.

The majority of people believing something does not make it true. Witness, the believed inferiority of Africans, Irish, Italians, Jews, and Latinos at various times in U.S. history.
Appeal to Majority. *yawns*
It used to be widely believed that the world was flat. They were wrong, too.
[It's simple economics people. The market proves God's existence.]
Alternatively, it proves that people with money are gullible.
How many people would need to believe in the Flying Spaghetti Monster for it to be real?
Well it's indicative that the human brain is somehow built to believe in God or whatever.
But the rest of your statement doesn't follow. 99% of the world's population are fucking morons so I'd take anything they all believe with a massive pinch of salt.
If you're going to use economics as an example, then so will I.
One of the most profitable food businesses in the world is McDonalds. Many people eat there at least once a month, some even doing so one or more times a week. It's clearly a popular restaurant. So, does that mean the food is good? Healthy? Of course not. The fast is low quality and terrible for your health. However, many people are raised on a diet of fast food, and it's more convenient for them to eat there than to cook at home or go someplace that sells better food, so that's what they stick with.
See how this is analogous to religion?
Oh, and a large chunk of people who call themselves Christian often turn out to be agnostic when asked about their specific beliefs. Many people identify as Christian, Jewish, Muslim, etc. because that is what they were raised to believe in, and they feel duty bound to it, despite not really believing in the specific teachings of the religion.
So, using his fallacious argument, we also know that evolution is a fact (99% of the worlds population accept it as a fact), the universe is 14 billion years old (99% of the worlds population accept it as a fact)
Wanna go on, Magic Goku Ninja?
World's top selling book of all time? The Bible.
So when Harry Potter overtakes it, you'll start worshipping Dumbledore?

No more than 1/3 of the world's population can agree on a religion.
It's simple economics people. The market disproves God's existence.

Argumentum ad populum . I'm unimpressed.
"It's simple economics people. The market proves God's existence."
Oh, I have no doubt that it's economics driving religion. At one time you could get quite rich peddling god to the ignorant.
LOL, I wanted to say Poe, but something about this looks legit..LOL..it sounds like a proof that a really naive fundy would use.
hmmm...
over half of the world likes fiction
Tolkien is a VERY popular author world wide
Its simple economics. The market proves Bilbo's existence.
Peter Fonda in Easy Rider said it best... "If God did not exist it would be necessary for man to invent him."
Believe all you want, it still doesn't make it so.
No, the market proves that a lot of people are gullible idiots. A lot of crackpot new age nonsense sells like hotcakes too.
Just because a lot of people believe something doesn't make it true.
The Bible is not the best selling book of all time...
At present, in numbers of copies published, The Thoughts of Chairman Mao A/K/A "The Little Red Book", far outnumbers the Bible.
Secondly, the author of this thread is assuming that the Bible will remain so until the end of time, a indefinite period of time away...
So which percentile of believers is required for some belief to become truth?
If over 50% of the population followed Jim Jones, would that make him God?
There are more valid methods to argue existance of a god, yours however was pathetic.
Confused?
