So you're upset that the ::snicker:: "early college program" ::snrk:: "career counselor" treated your son as an adult? What is the world coming to?! It *must* be TEH RAPCHUR!
By the way, get used to it -- long before I turned 18, thanks to *long* years of counseling and many, many doctor's appointments to treat depression & anxiety, I knew that professionally, and legally, what I said in the office *stayed* in the office, until *I* said it was okay to bring Mom into it. Hell, I *still* take Mom with me to the *really* important doctor visits. Like when I found out I have Hep C. Christ, I spent the next *year* in and out of the office, the lab, various scans, a fucking liver biopsy, finding out that, no, I just have to fucking *live* with this because there's only a 50% chance of the *treatment* working, and due to the common side-effect of severe depression (fucking interferon!), and my history of depression, they weren't going to *try*! So here I am with a potentially FATAL disease, and all they're going to do is "monitor my condition"?! Meanwhile, the pain meds I'm on have the potential to cause fucking LIVER DAMAGE! Does anyone ELSE see the problem, here?!
You're goddamn right I wanted my Mom with me! But the point is, IT WAS MY CHOICE TO BRING HER IN TO THE OFFICE.
Why? Because legally, everything I say to my doctor, short of threats to harm myself or others, STAYS BETWEEN ME, AND MY DOCTOR. For the doc to bring my Mom into the office without MY PERMISSION would be not only unprofessional, but ILLEGAL. She can't even send information to other doctors without MY FUCKING SIGNATURE.
Good GOD, Ruth, your son is becoming an ADULT -- most parents would be HAPPY about that. Worried, too, of course, but fucking HAPPY.
Oh, and you *can't* just randomly "graduate" your kid and give her a GED -- there is a test for the GED, and I suspect you haven't taught your crotchfruit anything outside of Teh Buybull. I suggest you put her in a *real* school, where she can actually learn something useful.
