Multiple gods are only attributed to the things that they are. The Ancient Greeks and Romans had gods for just about anything natural, ideas, and man made. We all know that they could easily be disproved.
As for the Hindu gods, they fail to have a concept of science. They believe that a genetic mutation in both humans and animals are gods, while ignoring the fact that their medical state is pretty poor compared to the Western World. A lot of them never even heard of Christianity. As for the creation and destruction, everything must have an opposite. There is just no more explanation to that. Suppose that Shiva didn't exist if Hinduism is correct? There would be nothing but universal creation. No destruction of matter.

You can't DISPROVE them any more than you can disprove your own beliefs. You can't prove those particular negatives, except insofar as you can prove the beliefs are self-contradictory. Difficult to do with something as poorly defined as religion, its defenders just shift around effortlessly.

Translation : while their standard of living is low compared to the US, that could change in a matter of generations if they taught their children math and science, and the Americans taught their children religious dogma in its place.

Amazing, that someone would know nothing about the religions practiced on the other side of the globe?

Sorry, I had to take a call. Can you repeat that? You're Mr. Death, and you've come about the reaping?
Uhm... I'm pretty sure, just like Christianity, Hinduism is older than modern science. Of course the gods wouldn't have a "concept of science".
It's not surprising many of them have not heard of Christianity. A large number of people with constant internet access know precious little about other cultures and religions, why should people who aren't exposed to other religions through any means? Oh wait, I forgot, people who haven't had a chance to hear about Christ are still somehow supposed to know about him and what he did, and so they deserve to go to hell for not believing.
The rest of that makes no sense.
SCIENCE
DOESN'T
PROVE
YOU
RIGHT!!!
Fucking hell. Failing to have a concept of science? What about your creationism bullshit? And the fact that you constantly disagree with homosexuality despite the fact people are BORN that way and it has been PROVEN MEDICALLY, YES MEDICALLY with BRAIN SCANS showing the difference between the STRAIGHT and HETRO BRAIN!
Well, at least the user name's accurate, 'cause he's full of shit.
I'm polytheistic, and I fail to be insulted by this just because it's so ignorant!
"As for the creation and destruction, everything must have an opposite."
...Are you endorsing Taoism, then?
1. I think you've just proven that Shiva does exist.
2. Matter is neither created nor destroyed. Um, duh?
1. Hindu Gods are not anti science. The problem is that there are three ways to get to Nirvana in Hinduism. People only remember the first which is prayer. The two others are Buddha (enlightenment or knowledge) and Karna (good deeds).
Both are regarded as liberated so indeed science is encouraged. Anything science says goes in Hinduism. Not to mention good behaviour. A doctrine of Knowledge lies polarly opposite to your religion's "original sin".
2. The medical state in India was formed in the 1950s and had to catch up to the rest of the world after literally centuries of abuse. Not to mention there are more people in India than North America making it kind of hard to provide medical care. It does have excellent medical care in some aspects. Everyone gets treated or atleast tries to unlike the USA.
3. Your claiming stuff does not get broken? Put it this way, the Hindu pantheon is quite elegant since it is a monotheistic deist god that exists. These are merely aspects of him. It's quite nifty in that it can slot gods into itself with relative ease making it more accepting of other faiths.
4. Monotheist abrahamic religion ruined this aspect by belittling it and forcing it to become the horrible entity that it is today.
Rome and Egypt were built within such God concepts. Christianity (in fact the big three) were all created and flourished in cultures of ignorance.
You can't join science or advancment with your religion, the Dark Ages are directly linked to it's influence
Yeah, except Shiva is the patron god of both creation and destruction, braintrust.
I didn't even have to look that up, I just knew it.
Confused?
