Evolution IS supposed to make a person feel good.
Evolutionary theory isn't supposed to make anyone feel one way or another, it's a scientific theory to describe the diversity of life. That fact that you insist otherwise just goes to show that you have no idea what you are going on about.
It makes them feel good in a temporary sense, so that they can enjoy their promiscuous lifestyle today,
Evolutionary theory has nothing to do with morality, either in description or or execution. Evolutionary theory is not, and has never been, intended to be a "get out of jail free" card for morality.
without thinking they have to face any consequences later.
Evolutionary theory says nothing for or against the religious threat of eternal torture. The fact that you can't seperate scientific theory from your religious carrot and stick says alot about your ability, or inability as it may be, to seperate fantasy from reality.
Too bad they all realize at some point in their life that it also makes life completely meaningless in the end.
In comparison to the universe, yes your life is meaningless. But to yourself and your family and friends then no, it isn't. Accepting evolutionary theory does not make a person a nihilist. You can't apply absolutes like that to situations that have multiple perspectives. To the universe my life is insignificant and meaningless, but to my children and myself it is not, you simply cannot apply absolute meaning to that kind of situation.
If believing in a religion and an afterlife is all that you think gives your life meaning then your existance must be truly pathetic and you have my sympathy for that.
