Let's go there: if Obama thinks he's losing, will he allow safe and fair elections on November 6? And if he does lose, will he peacefully turn over power to Mitt Romney on January 20, 2013? Or will he cling to power "by any means necessary," as a highly placed insider alleges?
Now, I'm truly sorry to raise such disgusting, un-American, crazy-sounding questions, but, alas, they're not crazy, and I've got a disquieting amount of evidence. The Democrats have already accused Romney of murdering a woman with cancer, financial felonies, and not filing taxes for ten years -- the last charge delivered by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid on the Senate floor, on the basis of absolutely no evidence whatsoever.
By Democrat standards, I've got enough proof to put away Obama, et al. for life without parole.
Whatever chicanery Obama and his investors may be contemplating, it will probably unfold against some gargantuan crisis, manufactured or otherwise.

Republicans claimed that Obama could eliminate the questions about his legitimacy by releasing his birth certificate. Romney could presumably do the same thing by releasing those tax returns, right?

Yeah, just look at his skin color. There's ample evidence that he is guilty of being president while black.
First off, Reid didn't accuse Romney of not filing his taxes. He said Romney didn't pay any taxes. It's a huge distinction.
Second, it's not the democrats who are passing laws that will disenfranchise voters and keep them away from the polls. It's the republicans. Under the guise of preventing "voter fraud". (I suppose by their standards, any time a voter doesn't flip the switch for a republican, it's fraud...)

No and no. Even if space aliens vaporized the West coast with death rays the President doesn't have the authority to call off elections. Remember FDR? He had to run for reelection during WW2.
And, as for refusing to leave office, the military outnumbers and outguns the Secret Service so there's no mechanism by which a President who lost a election could defy said election's results.
No one accused Mittens of murder. A PAC ad, not the Obama campaign, featured a man who lost his wife because Bain Capital outsourced his job and he lost his health insurance.
The speculation about "financial felonies" as well as the issue of how much Mittens has paid in taxes, once again coming from people other than President Obama or his campaign, would go away if he produced more financial records. As the Reichwhiners love to say; "if you've done nothing wrong, you've nothing to hide". We don't know that Mittens has done anything wrong but he is definitely hiding something.

Seems that Obama has nothing to worry about - especially in the debates; with Romney's 'Foot In Mouth Disease' whenever he has to speak 'off-script' (and he has a team of scriptwriters, to tell him what to think ), all Obama has to do is to throw in a policy/verbal spanner in the debate works. Come election night, Obama will address the nation and announce that American Idol was fixed (oh the shock). That being a national crisis, he'll grab control of the Weather Channel and send out an army of neighborhood ice cream trucks and sidewalk hot dog vendors to take hold of the nation.
