(Regarding an elected rep who happened to be Muslim whose wife is a Christian):
A true Christian believer would never marry a Muslim. If anything, she would wait for him to convert - then wed him. Male Muslims welcome the option to marry those who are of different faiths as it is their option to "kill the infidel" - thus by his religion, he has every right to kill her.

Conversely, he has married her and he seems to love her. Let me tell you that many of my friends have marry muslims, Buddist and Jewish and they´re very happy.
And just to clarify, the Koran doesn´t tell them to kill infidels, in fact, how is it possible that there are Christians in Lebanon?, or Persis in Iran?
Perhaps they realized that while they were of different religions, they worshipped the same God, and their holy books were so close as to be almost indistinguishable in terms of how they were supposed to live their daily lives.
Basically, she gets to have a glass of wine while eating a bacon cheeseburger, and he can only look on with envy while he drinks water and eats a plain cheeseburger.
Don't you think if that was their agenda they would've done it by now you dickhead.
You've never read to Quran have you? You don't know jihad's only mentioned 4 times, 3 specifically state it's only in self defense when they attack you and the 4th implies that.
Want to know how many times the bible tells you to kill the infidel for no reason than a differing religious belief? Go look, I stopped when I hit 50 and wasn't even out the Torah.
I don't recall reading that Islam condones murdering your spouse, or murdering people of different faiths. I know that fundie nutjobs do, but fundie nutjobs should not be trusted to portray their faith accurately.
And I personally know a Christian from Kentucky who married a Muslim from Sudan, and they've been happy together for 30 years.
Would a female Muslim have the right to kill her Christian husband, then? Because, you see, one of my friends is Muslim and has a Muslim mother and Christian father. As far as I can tell, they're all alive and fine.
and their was me thinking that Christ enjoined his follwers NOT to swear.
And what good is an oath if made on a book that wasn't "sacred" to the one making it.
Personally an affirmation ought to be enough for Xians and atheists...
Assuming that "kill" was metaphorical, this is ironic, because the original poster blames Muslims for the same "crime" they are advocating (potentially converting the other). Ultimately it doesn't matter, no faith is "the true one" anyway. That was 14 years ago, but this is a similar argument to the now-fashionable, exaggerated, "love jihad" claims in India (a conspiracy theory of forced systematic conversion by love).
Confused?
