"I believe in meditating on the word of God, though I still can't imagine that making a very fun video game"
And why is that, hmmmm? Why are the Brain Training games almost Tetris-esque 'killer apps' for the DS, and FPS like Quake IV, Wolfenstein, Bioshock etc are popular for PCs, XBox 360, PS3 etc, and 'Christian' themed games aren't, hmmmmm? Don't exactly see the big softawre houses like Electronic Arts, id Software et al concentrating their efforts into creating a 'Genesis' game, eh?
...well there are the various God Sim games, but you probably wouldn't like the notion of playing God, Ininja2000.
Remember: Sex Sells. Sci-Fi sells. Religion doesn't. You do the maths.

"People still buy consoles with horrible names?"
If I live to be as old as Methuselah, I'll never figure out why Nintendo dropped a perfectly good name, 'Revolution' for it's newest console. Instead, favouring the slang term for urination. Well, so be it. If that is their attitude, I simply took it to it's ultimate extreme, thus I always refer to it as the Nintendo Piss.
Scene (interior), a games shop:
Customer 1: 'I'd like an Xbox 360, please.'
Assistant: 'Certainly sir. Here you are.'
Customer 2: 'I'd like a PS3, please.'
Assistant: 'Certainly sir. Here you are.'
Customer 3: 'I'd like a Wii, please.'
Assistant: 'The public toilets are outside and to your left, sir.'
I rest my case.
