ummm... God performs miracles all the time... I'll share one with you:
My Cousin was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in his kidney's, Lungs, Live and Stomach, he had a total of 9 tumors... he was only 17 and on the "Make a Wish Foundation"... He came out here to california for his MAWF wish to go to disneyland, six flags and knotts berry farm, he loves roller coasters, so it makes sense... anyways, while he was here I had my Bible study group pray for him... his next doctors appointment, EVERY TUMOR WAS GONE... no sign of cancer whatsoever... the doctors had know Idea how or why...

Lying for jesus is a sin. Tricking the MAWF into giving you a free holiday is just plain evil.
If, however, what you say is true then the doctors (and MAWF) will have all manner of write ups about it. Where are they? Where was the headline news about such a miracle occurring?
Equally, what was so fucking special about your cousin to get this treatment? Thousands of people die each day from cancer, so you and your group best get down on your knees and pray otherwise I think you need to be prosecuted for negligence leading to death...
Your choice - admit your lies or cure everyone.
It's funny when they pull out that 'the doctors can't explain it!' thing. As if the doctors just shrug their shoulders and say, 'oh well,' and don't look further into how someone's terminal cancer just disappeared .

Some people occasionally recover completely. Some pray, some don't. Then again, most people with cancer pray. Then they die. It's like praying for the roulette wheel to hit your number. Sure enough, God listens roughly one time out of 38 (37 with a single zero wheel). He helps people who don't pray just about the same.
According to the Bible, God knows what you want before you ask and isn't swayed just because your prayer group uses a lot of words; so in theory, group prayer shouldn't have any effect one way or the other.
Recovering from cancer happens enough that there's even a name for it, as Disreg says: remission, which if you're very lucky is permanent. Nothing miraculous about it, except of course in the colloquial sense. Any being powerful enough to arbitrarily put someone's cancer in remission (or remove it entirely, as the account seems to be suggesting) is unlikely to do so simply because people ask it to, but only because it serves some unknown (probably unknow*able*) purpose.
Prove it. Get the test results before and after your brother got sick. You could even post them on the internet. According to HIPAA laws they are your results and you can do whatever you want with them. Oh you don't have the results? You won't get them? Didn't think so.
Not that it isn't possible that remission occurred here, but I call bullshit.
No, medical science was the "miracle" by making the tumors go away. If it was really a miracle, God would have made the tumors go away all by themselves.
If God really did do that, than why do we even need modern medicine? It would make a lot more people flock to church, and I thought that God was a JEALOUS GOD?
(And, I really am happy for his cousin, without the snark. I was born with health problems, and while I never had cancer, I am truley happy for him that he is well now--at least, if this story is to be believed in its current version.)
17...stage _FOUR_ cancer in most of the major organs...and he's still able to hop on a plane and hit the fun parks and ride roller coasters for several days in a row...?
Methinks someone is bearing false witness...
First, this is most probably a lie. Second, it's basically saying to good people who don't get miraculously cured through prayer that somehow they are not good enough or worthy enough to be worth the Lord's time.
Way to be a liar and an asshole, Worm.
This is easily explained..when watching re-runs of Full House one can unexpectantly suffer all sorts of convulsions and minor tremblings throught the body.Your cousins tumors merely fell off down his pant legs, while he was convusing to a show with Bob Saget acting nice. This is a scenario more likely to happen than the one you actually gave.Thank you.
Confused?
