“LGBT Christians”
The use of that phrase in so many discussions about Christianity drives me straight into crazy.
How about instead of Christian Gays we use the phrase “Christian Murderers” or “Christian Thieves”? How about Christian Pedophiles or Christian Rapists.
If you are in open sin and refuse to repent of that sin, I am not sure you can call yourself a Christian.

Well Eric Rudolph, televangelists like Oral Roberts and Pat Robertson, and Josh Duggar and the corrective rapes done in Africa by Christians means that while you meant it sarcastically you have a point. Also LGBT are not those things.

Trump. He is unrepentant sinner. Yet many evangelicals love him. Despite knowing he is not a believer they give him a pass
I'm a christian and I'm gay. I don't repent for my "sin" because I don't believe that it can possibly be a sin in the first place (I actually have my doubt about the concept of sin in the first place). On the other hand, lying and slandering are pretty obviously ones. And by connecting homosexuality with rape and pedophilia you are slandering without repenting. Fucking hypocrite.
But... I thought the usual spiel was that we're all worthless sinners and deserve damnation. Romans 3:10- There is no one righteous, not even one (NIV). Ecclesiastes 7:20 Indeed there is no one on Earth who is righteous, no on who does what is right and never sins (NIV). Not all sinners are created equal, eh?
Your christianity is not that of some other church. If yours is a "hate" church, I know, it makes you crazy. But there are plenty of "love" churches, also Christian, who embrace people of other sexualities. It isn't your business what they do. Butt out.
39 Now one of the criminals hanging there reviled Jesus, saying, "Are you not the Messiah? Save yourself and us."
40 The other, however, rebuking him, said in reply, "Have you no fear of God, for you are subject to the same condemnation? 41 And indeed, we have been condemned justly, for the sentence we received corresponds to our crimes, but this man has done nothing criminal." 42 Then he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom." 43 He replied to him, "Amen I say to you today you will be with me in Paradise." 23:3943
Saint Dismas: Christian Thief.
Sin - knowing better and doing worse.
Wbarmy is a Christian liar.
And the "good thief" was not actually a thief: He was of the lestai - something worse than a common thief. The Greek term could mean "robber" which implies crimes involving violence...especially since the man said he deserved the death penalty. But he also mentioned the fear of God, which opens the way to an even harsher translation: That he was a zealot who may have preyed upon Roman merchants as a way to make both money and a very bloody point.
One of the most interesting interpretations for the crimes of the men on either side of Jesus is that they were revolutionaries, even as he was, except their crimes involved violence.
The modern term for revolutionaries who use violence, and lose? Terrorist.
So the man was a Christian robber, a Christian highwayman, or a Christian terrorist.
I think brigand may be the closest translation, but scholars point out Jesus was not a brigand. Three men are recorded in the Bible as having been crucified that day at Golgotha: Two were something . And Jesus was a revolutionary.
Aren't all Christians "in open sin" all the time? Because all people are sinners, according to them. And one sin isn't supposed to be worse than any other.
Guessing slothfulness, greed, lust, and gluttony are biggie deadly sins that the majority of US Christians don't want to even begin to curb. When was the last time a good Christian went after a fellow Christer for eating too much on a regular basis and not exercising?
And people who have committed pederasty, rape, murder, and theft can still be or become Christian. Also, same-sex attraction is not listed as a "sin" so...
Christian Gays -I've known several in my life.
Christian Murderers -Jails are slap-full of these guys.
Christian Thieves -Yep, ditto.
Christian Pedophiles -Still yet again...
Christian Rapists -Once more, plenty of these fucksticks around.
How about Christian Pedophiles or Christian Rapists
Josh Buggar was very much anti -LGBT.
See how even your own words can bite you in the arse, o homophobe Christains...?!
Well, there are plenty of Christian murderers, Christian thieves, Christian pedophiles, and Christian rapists out there. If you want to make sure everyone knows they are Christians, be my guest.
Confused?
