[On Don't Ask Don't Tell being ruled unconstitutional.]
So this female judge knows what military readiness is, and dismisses the actual Commanders views on it with a wave of the hand. Just another opening salvo in a long fight. I'm sure these activists will win, eventually. Then we can get pink guns and camo leotards.

Yeah! What would a lady know about the military? I'm a lady, I was in the military...so fuck you, sexist asshole.
You know there are openly gay people in the military, right now? I know some of them. You know how they can be openly gay and still serve? Because no one cares! We don't care if our shipmates are gay! The rule doesn't get enforced near as much as you think. So why not get rid of it?
The Canadian military has allowed openly gay members for several years now, and not one NATO nation has seen fit to criticize it's efficiency or combat readiness in Afghanistan -- in fact, in several areas in that country the US military serves under Canadian command.
I really must bring you up to speed on something, HeIsEnough. There already are gays and lesbians serving in the military. There were gays in the military back in your day and there are gays in the military now.
Besides, gays and lesbians aren't stupid, they would know that pink typically isn't a very tactical color in combat in general. Of the gays and lesbians I knew when I was on active duty, not once did I hear them complain about how the BDU, DCU, or ACU pattern was terrible and they prefer something else in order to be fabulous.
and dismisses the actual Commanders views on it
Most enlisted members of the military don't give a shit; they just want to know whether the rest of their squad/platoon/etc. will cover their backs and be competent once the shooting starts. Meanwhile, the right wing's beloved commanders are more than eager to put national defense and military effectiveness second to their master plan of turning the U.S. military into Brownshirts for Theocracy.
What immediately strikes me is that both this quote and the one below it specifically mention that the judge is female. Because presumably that immediately disqualifies her to make any decisions on the subject of constitutional law, or indeed on anything other than cooking, cleaning and child-rearing.
Oh, fundies, your misogyny is showing!
Funny how everyone, from rank-and-file soldiers to judges, all know more about combat than generals.
It could be because, due to the current military system, most U.S. generals have never served in actual combat.
What is Wrong with camo leotards?

Heck, how about pink camo leotards? (literally the first result that popped when I Google image searched "camo leotard", BTW :P)

@Anon-e-moose :
Dunno if it is actually an AK-47 (not a gun nut), but there is this:

Re: Adrian's Comment
Obviously, this person has never, ever played any of the later versions of Street Fighter, otherwise he/she would know of Cammy (default garb Camo Leotards, in various colour schemes & depending on the point in her timeline, & costume she's wearing, a red, green, blue or white beret, & camo cream...).
And as for the Hello Kitty, AKM & G-36 assault rifles, did Sanrio licence the use of Kitty for the above...?
@G. Fieendish: yeah, I also thought about Cammy as soon as I read "camo leotard", but I couldn't find a picture where her leotard itself sported the green, brown and grey splotches pattern that the word "camo" suggests. Her legs, on the other hand.... :P But anyway, her usual uniform is indeed camo green.
And what I did find is a very usable picture of Cammy ready to /trout a moron ^^ (well, /shark, actually):

As for the Sanrio licensing question, I don't know. I got these pictures from a "weird weapons " gallery on Sankaku Complex (warning, this site tends to be very much NSFW)
Yes, because they will make it mandatory to be gay to be in the military.
Jeez, do these idiots ever listen to themselves?
Concerning this nonsense of LGBT folks undermining military readiness...Alexander The Great & The Spartans would like a word with you....
...and so would Joan Of Arc, you misogynist meatball!
"Just another opening salvo in a long fight."
- No, it was the last fight in that particular battle. DADT has been laid to rest and independent research has confirmed that the negative impact on the military is precisely zero. To bring it back would be an admission that banning gay people from the military now would be an admission that the decision was based on bigotry and not sound policy. In spite of your daydreams to the contrary, that ain't happening.
Granted, the fight for full legal acceptance of gay relationships is still going on. However, the events of the last election should convince even you RR types that the fight is not going to go on much longer. Get ready to lose HeIsEnough.
Check the date, Doc.
Gays couples and wimmin can now kill till their hearts content, stabbing the enemy in the head and spilling their brains on the ground.
Swell. If they think they are killing a fundie, maybe they'll feel all good about it n stuff.
This female judge knows about the Constitution, nitwit.
The military and the commanders can't dismiss the Constitution with a wave of the hand.
You want pink guns and camo leotards? Well, if pink is your color, dearie, go for it!
You know, the same goddamned stupid claims were made way back when.
Letting the coloreds into the military will make the army useless for defense.
Letting the coloreds serve in any position other than steward and barbers will ruin readiness.
Letting the coloreds mix with the whites will...
Letting women serve will...
Letting women serve as anything besides yeomen and cooks will...
I served with blacks, browns, reds, one blue (who was trying to dye his hair and fucked up BADLY), men, women, gays... Even officers, and still the fleet sails.
This shit is just regurgitated stupid.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
