AMEN! There is no scriptural grounds for women pastors. This article is an example of the facade going on in America that has the engine of political correctness running full steam ahead. Just waiting for the "iceberg" ahead which they can't see - God's judgment.

The bible doesn't mention pastors, priests, bishops, popes, nuns, ministers, TV evangelists, et al.
Folks: Actually, the Bible (at least the KJV) does mention pastors and bishops. As for popes and nuns, fundamentalist Protestants will write that off as just a bunch of Catholic nonsense that they don't follow.
AH!WOMEN! You are not what we normals would term normal, are you? Apart from lusting after them, women that is, yum yum, you should be enjoying their superior intelligenc and infinitely greater sense of humour.
@ GigaGuess: "I was unaware breasts made a person less knowledgeable about their faith."
Allow me to enlighten you: it's not breasts which restrict knowledge, it's carrying one's genitalia on the inside that makes the difference.
It's obvious, really.
It'd be delightful to watch a fundie encounter a more progressive deity, let's say an omnisexual androgyne....such an entity has much more validity in tRW.
DOG's Judgment: "Say, this smells like a good place to shit."
There are no scriptural grounds for male pastors either. But since you ignore rhe fact that the bible plainly shows that jesus could never be the moshiach, there are no scriptural grounds for christianity either.
So long as you are ignoring the bible in two ways, might as well make it three.
And that would be because the Bible, much like the Quran, was written BY AND FOR -- get this -- MEN. Women are relegated to the role of property and brood mare, and as such wouldn't be "permitted" to teach or have any role that places them in any kind of authority "over" men. That archaic "social" structure has gone the way of those goat-fuckers who wrote it -- long gone, and good riddance.
I've always suspected that the reason you idiots oppress women is your utter fear at our ability to bring life into the world, and the fact that we bleed for a week without dying. Let's face it, no MAN would ever be able to withstand the pain (and labor) of childbirth. EVER. And that is why you loathe us.
"God's judgment."
Court's in session.
Love would have been right. Oh surprise.
Not lies. Not sexism. Not racism.
And pushing for the perpetuation of mass-schizophrenia is not love, I might add.
Well, women can be just as manipulative as male pastors, so why not?
Probably it would be best if there were neither, though.
There is no god.
Deal with it.
There is no scriptural grounds for computers or combustion engines or cinematography either.
Get the hell off the internet, stop driving cars and cease watching movies, right now! Otherwise that iceberg can be moving in your general direction.
In the stupid old times people believed that as the blood flowed down to the womb (Hysteria in Greek), the brain was left with too little blood, which made women unstable, hysterical".
But, having blood flowing down to the erectile tissue of the penis wasn't an issue, apparently. Strange that...
No scriptural grounds?
What was the gender of the first person to witness the Resurrection, who was told by Christ to spread the word (to the male disciples, who were all in hiding?)
I'll give you a hint: her name was Mary Magdalene.
The Church of England. The basis of modern Protestant Christianity.
They have women vicars & bishops.
They're still there, still shipshape and Bristol-fashion (pun may or may not be intended); nope, no icebergs in sight. Maintain course. Steady as she goes.
The UK's Political Correctness warp drive still propelling us into the future, at full capacity; power output at 110%, but all systems still well under operating capacity and within normal parameters.
...and autolasers at standby to intercept and eliminate any potential intolerance obstructions; maintaining scan...!
Confused?
