"Because according to evolution nothing/no other species but man has evolved."
Wrong. Everything has evolved - every single animal, plant, type of bacteria, virus - has evolved to fill a niche. (Hint: Look back through the fossil record to see earlier forms of the animals and plants that exist today.)
"Think about that. Our cognitive functions and skills are far advanced beyond that of animals..."
...and yet we lack the advantages of other animals as well: Fur, sharp teeth, claws, speed. Our brains advanced in part because we had to find a way to survive hunters that could outpace us and eat us alive.
Beyond that, and even despite our relative intelligence - yes, certain animals are also capable of reasoning (after a fashion) - microscopic organisms can still kill us without much difficulty at all. They lack will, they lack teeth and claws, and they kill people every day.
"We can do and think far more than any animals."
I suspect at least part of our intelligence derives from survival adaptation - that and, as another poster pointed out, our ancestors killed or absorbed other animals that approached our level of intelligence.
"What makes us different to the millions of species of animals on the planet still living as they did when first created?"
With the possible exception of deep bacteria, NOTHING on this planet exists as it once did. Everything that has survived this long has also evolved.
If you're going to condemn evolutionary science, at least learn about it first - or are you afraid knowledge might open your eyes to truths that do not match with your religious convictions?
You do realize, right, that you can believe in the concept of a God and still accept evolution (with "guided evolution" being one possible solution to the puzzle of how to maintain your faith in the face of scientific fact)?
