I think that most Atheists haven't a clue as to what neutral monism, idealism, etc. even mean. Nor do they care.

I also think that most Atheists haven't a clue what logic entails, other than what whatever their minds produce at any given moment.

Atheism is not an intellectual pursuit, although some intellectuals are Atheists. Atheism is an emotional crutch to the emotional turbulence that accompanies the pursuit of bolstering the self, when the self is secretly known to be limited and even inferior. That's why Atheism is commonly adopted in adolescence and teenage pre-adult years.

The personal crutch of the Atheist VOID in morality and intellect is the reason that Atheism is maintained into adulthood, beyond the time when the frontal lobe finally matures. The comfort of the perception of total freedom –FreeThought and Consequentialism – trumps any personal subjection to actual logic and reason. So actual logic and reason are not pursued or even comprehended.

The Atheist has what he needs, emotionally, and he will defend it any way he can. While some engage in fallacious arguments, this means ignoring all rational challenges, as well. I think most Atheists don't even show up on the web: they have what they emotionally need.

Theism is not an intellectual pursuit, although some intellectuals are Theists. Theism is an emotional crutch to the emotional turbulence that accompanies the pursuit of bolstering the self, when the self is secretly known to be limited and even inferior. I don't know what monism is, that’s right, except what I can understand from the etymology of the word. Idealism is quite clear in my mind. What is the "etc"?

No, atheism isn't a pursuit at all, it's just a lack of belief in gods. What I can judge from the atheists and theists that I know, atheists seem less disturbed by this "emotional turmoil" that you talk about, than theists. Most atheists that I know were either never religious, or came to the conclusion in adult years. It’s often a process; religions make less sense with each year, until there is nothing left. The beginning might be in adolescent years.

You obviously fail to listen, Stanny-boy. We DON'T have a void. We are secure in our humanity and the golden rule solves most moral dilemmas. Who the heck speaks about "total freedom" but you fundie dolts? All freedoms come with responsibilities, stupid. When you exercise your freedom of speech, for example, you should make sure that you are not infringing on other people’s freedom of speech.

The atheist? There is no such thing; all atheists are different, as there is no dogma nor rules to follow. There is nothing to defend, we just shrug our shoulders and say "there is no evidence for the existence of any gods, and until such evidence surfaces, I will live as though there are no gods".

If you look for "Atheists" with a capital A, that might be why none show up on the web. The word “atheists” should only be capitalized when it's at the beginning of the sentence.

Sure, we might have what we need, emotionally, as we are secure in our humanity, and don't need to be the favorite plaything of some despotic deity.

I think 99.9% of humanity have no idea what neutral monism is.

Are you kidding me? Do you even understand what it means to believe you aren't the mirror image of perfect being, with a lifespam so short only the billionth fraction of the age of the universe? You sit there thinking you were made and selected by a perfect god and drunken with your faithful supiriority complex, Meanwhile an atheist looks up at the night sky and doesn't think "God made those for me because they're pretty to look at.", he or she thinks of the billions of billions stars and planets and the he or she isn't much more than a sandcorn in the ocean of the universe and you call us bolstering ourselves?
As long as you think a magic man made the stars for you to look at, I have every fucking right to feel superior to you, not to everybody else, but you, specifically and only to you.

Atheism is not an ideology, it is one simple idea - in fact, let me correct that, it isn't even an idea, it is disbelieve in another idea that came to be dominant in Western culture at one time. You can abstract as much morality from atheism as you can from blank slate theism.

Because consequentialism, with it basis on numbers and math, is so not based on logic and reason...

That's because most atheists don't live in countries where a small 15% of the population who cherry-pick their constitution are trying to institute what can only be called a theocracy, who attack science as very basic method of understanding and undermine the education system to not only indoctrinate their children with religious dogma but also systematically destroy the very ability of the system to produce smart self-sufficient people. Most atheists live in countries were teaching creationism will get you fired and arguing with the Bible or the Quran in parliament will end your career. They don't show up on the web that you read because they have no reason to defend themselves against people like you, who collectively write about how stupid the others are simply because they doubt your unfounded irrational dogma.

Interesting, what you say about the atheist's emotional self-sufficiency: I, as an atheist, do not feel the need to blind myself to logic and rationality by calling to a supernatural being (Nobodaddy). I have no faith because I do not need god, I feel no dependency to him. Atheists, by your own admittance, are the ones who are mature and rational not the theists.

And by the way, atheism and total freedom (whatever that means) do not necessarily go together; you can be an atheist and a determinist at the same time.

And "while some engage in fallacious arguments, this means ignoring all rational challenges, as well": what rational challenges? you mean Nobodaddy? how in the world is this a rational challenge? it's just the illusion of finalism (you cannot imagine how some animal may have evolved to its present, perfect adaptation to its environment, so you say it was just plopped there by god).
