Cristians that believe in macro evolution should be ashamed to kill roaches and flies, right? They should not want to even step on the grass, right? After all we are all related from the past, right?

Yeah, why not show some respect for all living creatures?
Oh wait, that's another religion. Better convert!
Even if you don't accept evolution, you're still related to the jews, muslims, nazis, and liberals.
Let's see, the Great Chain of Being: mud, televangelists, bubonic plague bacilli, fundies, particularly stupid insects, (etc.) gorillas, chimps, rejected Republican vice presidential candidates, Neanderthals, humans.
That's about right, isn't it?
They are still living things, regardless of whether you accept evolution or not. That in of itself as of the same relevance for giving or not giving grass and bugs a certain level of respect, in the same way that a [distant] shared ancestry does. That is to say: none.
Evolution isn't a set of morals or guidelines to live by, it simply describes how lifeforms became what they are today. It is by no means a guide on HOW to act, it just explains how things became they way they are.
... no.
Then again there are Buddhists who don't do that, but because they believe in the sacredness of all forms of life, or things you probably think are shit, so...
I may share a very, very, very, very, VERY distant ancestor with them, but until mosquitoes stop trying to suck my blood I'm going to continue to squash those fuckers.
animals kill each other all the time. We need to keep roaches and flies out of our food. Killing them is the easiest way to do it. Or you can use traps.
And as for the grass, the grass has been shaped by natural selection to be tough and isn't badly hurt by being walked on.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
