[on whether or not it is okay to have an abortion if the mother's life is at risk]
You're saying that murder is wrong in all instances except one. No it is not murder to tell the mother to not have the abortion, you need to tell her how to get saved so she can get saved. If that is the mothers day to die anyway, God is going to take her in another way. It is God's choice when we die.

I love this girl. Google her name and there's a multitude of poorly written essays and blog entries that she's put online to enlighten the masses. Supposedly, up until a kindly American woman saved her pathetic arse, she was destined for a life of redneck pleasures and welfare fraud. Why is it always the sorriest souls who find Jesus?

So far as I know, nobody getting an abortion for medical reasons has subsequently gotten killed by some other unrelated force that same day -- say, by lightning, flood, meteor strike, or other even remotely divine forces. While my ignorance of any such incident isn't proof in itself, it is highly suggestive. It would seem that doctors are more powerful than God (yes, I'm pretty sure they know it already!).

Modern science & medicine helps us cheat death every day. I say it's a good thing. I wish I could see you on your death bed. I'm willing to bet my paycheck you'd be asking for every pill, IV drip, machine, or injection to keep your ass alive.

No, I'm saying that abortion isn't murder as an embryo or blastocyst is not a person.
"No it is not murder to tell the mother to not have the abortion, you need to tell her how to get saved so she can get saved."
Yeah, tell her that the way to "get saved" is to have that safe, medical abortion.
"If that is the mothers day to die anyway, God is going to take her in another way."
Well, then "God" can just take her another way whether or not she has the abortion. Why worry about what she does if "God" is going to take care of business anyway.
Also, by your "logic," if someone is having a heart attack, we shouldn't try to save them as it's their time to die. Leave the victims in the car wreck because it's their time to die.
"It is God's choice when we die."
As God is imaginary, he doesn't choose anything.

Because the miserable fucks that find Jesus are often the type that is too stupid/short-sighted to be decent and responsible without threats of divine retribution. This means that failure to find Jesus leaves someone facedown in a ditch in middle of winter. Jesus saves. By saying "Be good or I'll kill you." Some people need that kick. And one addiction replacing the other, of course.
If God is in control of all things, then whatever "decision" she makes has been preordained by Him to be made, therefore making the debate between pro-choice and anti-abortion moot. Abortion has already been preapproved by God.
If you really want to get into a "free-will" discussion, let's have a go at it.
If that is the mothers day to die anyway, God is going to take her in another way.
By your own argument, the mother should go ahead and get an abortion, because if God wants her to die, he'll kill her anyway. If she survives, then obviously God wants her to live and arranged for the abortion to save her life.
Pwned by your own argument.

Quick poll: who else would have preferred her to remain a non-fundie redneck?
When we die's usually chosen by random events. I don't think that a God would be able to pay attention to all the people in this world at once to be able to see all the crap we're doing, and even then, I think most abortions would rank pretty low on a sin list if there is one from the whole controversy causing him to question it.
Also, have any of you seen the post on Fundie Watch about Teens4Christ being extremely strict and kind of fascist (here )? The administrator there, Randy, sounds like an arsehole, if you ask me!
You know, incredibly stupid people like this nutcase may actually be the fundie's single greatest arguement against evolution. I can think of no other words to describe this kind of "amoral callousness" from a "supposed" Christian as a defense for one's religio-political agenda. As they say, "Jesus wept"! I wonder if the fundies realize that if was for their own cold-hearted theft of his religion?
I actually find this more logically consistent. If they truly believe abortion is murder, then abortion is murder (to them), period. In which case, it would be no more acceptable for a mother to abort her child to potentially save her own life, than it would be for a person who needed an organ transplant to kill another person for their organs.
I personally don't agree with her stance at all; I believe women need to have the right to abortion at any time, for any reason, period. But I do find her stance more logically consistent than saying "abortion is murder... but murder is acceptable if the pregnancy was caused by rape or incest, or if the mother's life is in danger". If they truly believe that a fetus is equal to a human person, then it's a human person (to them) irregardless of how it was conceived, or whether it presents a risk to the mother.
As an aside, I would be curious to know how she'd deal with a situation, such as an ectopic pregnancy, where embryonic/fetal death is absolutely assured either way, but the pregnant woman has the possibility of continuing to live if she has an abortion in time.
"It is God's choice when we die."
You are contradicting the word of God, you complete moron. The Bible clearly states that murder, or any other sin for that matter, is in the world because God gave mankind free will. Murder is the result of free will therefore it is not God's choice.
If God did CHOOSE when we died then he would be orchestrating the death, which would make him a MURDERER.
Therefore since you have just called your saviour a murderer, you really have no business ranting about abortion being "wrong".
So...you're saying abortion is bad when the fetus is terminated...yet if the mother were to die, by your logic, 2 'people' would, the mother, and the unborn child. Eh?
Do you realize that you preach about God's will but in actuality God doesn't want you to because you're saying all the wrong things?
But let's go by your 'so called logic' for a moment.
If the woman gets an abortion to save her life and 'kills' the unborn child, maybe THAT was God's will. Ever think of it like that? Of course not, you're closed minded.
Oh Katy, Katy, Katy, you are so young and innocent. Wait till you grow up, get prgenant and are on the point of dying from pre-eclampsia or some other pregnancy related illness. We'll ask you how you feel about abortions then shall we?
If it is God's choice when we die, then murder is justifiable in any and all instances. As are genocide, manslaughter, and the numerous other variants of murder. I can do anything I want in the name of the Lord.
Some God then huh.
-pretends to be god-
Ooooooooooo that lovely little child looks ready enough to die, i'll just send one of my followers to go and murder them, after all, i'll forgive them and eveything...
-rolls eyes and releases evil sinister laugh
So, by these standards, I could kill as many people as I want because it's their "time to die"?
That doesn't quite add up
Alright. Never visit a hospital. Ever. God has decided it's your time, after all.
Yeah that's what I thought. Congratulations on killing both a mother and her doomed child in a horrible manner and being a hypocrite.
Um, if god decides when everyone dies, then abortion shouldn't be an issue. Countless infants have been aborted, all decided upon by your god. Think before you speak, god damn.
i'd say self defence is a valed reasone for murder.
if you don't think it okay. then i sugest you start protesting the millitary. and try to get your country to sut down all militay funding. get rid of ALL the gun in you country, including the polices.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
