[on the US Constitution:]
I'm not saying that it does have some form of Christianity, Im just trying to figure out why some people believe that it says nothing about God or Jesus. And I am well aware that it does not mention God or Jesus.

"And I am well aware that it does not mention God or Jesus. "
So, you're saying that those people who believe that the Constitution says nothing about God or Jesus are correct, then?
o_O
You're trying to figure out why people believe it says nothing about God or Jesus, while you yourself acknowledge that it says nothing about God or Jesus?
See, that's what we call "reality." It's not really a belief as such. It's this whole thing where we observe, draw conclusions, and gain knowledge. Congratulations on mastering the first step, at least.
Im just trying to figure out why some people believe that it says nothing about God or Jesus
And I am well aware that it does not mention God or Jesus
Um...do you see? It doesn't mention god or jesus, sooo, it says nothing about god or jesus. I'm pretty sure it's not that hard a concept to grasp. But then again, this is YA, the little brother to YT.
I have a pocket copy of the Constitution from the National Constitution Center, www.constitution.org , which I keep as a handy reference for morons like you. God and Jesus aren't mentioned once. The Declaration of Independence is somewhat vague, with phrases like, "the separate and equal Station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them," and, "they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights." It doesn't say or mandate who Nature's God or their Creator is.
Im just trying to figure out why some people believe that it says nothing about God or Jesus. And I am well aware that it does not mention God or Jesus.
sigh
Read these two sentences. The second one actually answers the first one. Do you really not see that?
Nick, old son,
...Im just trying to figure out why some people believe that it says nothing about God or Jesus. And I am well aware that it does not mention God or Jesus.
- didn't you read what you wrote? You just countered your onw argument. Nice!

I discovered something about myself today. My brain makes a noise when it gets broken by stupidity in such high doses. It's something of a "Sproink!" sound.
Then it rebooted, and all was well.
So.. you're asking why we think it doesn't say something.. that you admit it doesn't say anything about?
Well, because it doesn't, just like you said.
I am, for the sake of the galaxy, going to assume that he just mixed up no and some, something one could do if they were typing really, really quickly. Ok? Good.
"I am well aware that it does not mention God or Jesus"
Good. Remember these words by the 1st US President George Washington:
'The government of the United States is not in any sense founded on the Christian Religion'
Heed them well.

Sometimes you fundies make our job too easy! Self-Pwning Award, anyone?
Moderate Christian maybe? After all it is mainly the fundamentalists who pretend it's Biblically influenced and are fans of liars like Barton, Beck and Robertson who claim this is true.
A moderate Christian who hasn't been on such threads may not know of the lies they spread and be truefully confused when an Atheist points out an obvious reality.
We do end up saying some things repeatedly trying to offset the echo chamber of lies that is fundamentalism.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
