My country is now so morally repugnant to me that I have nothing left in common with it and fully define myself as a Quisling. No other word is strong enough at this point. I used to feel like a rebel, but now I feel like a full-blown traitor because the chasm is so deep. I look into the abyss and see only hate, and I become hate. This is not the country I grew up in and not the kind of society I want to live in. Just when you think it can't get any worse, they come up with new aspects of sexuality to criminalize, and the man-hating hysteria is always directed at the new target with undiminished strength. The goal posts keep changing but the hysteria always remains, and the media never relent on their hateful propaganda against men. Who would have thought that women who regret taking nude pictures of themselves would be the new rape victims? Yet, that is where we are at. When revenge porn has gained the same legal status as child pornography, the feminist abuse industry will simply move on to the next hysteria, which will be added to all the others in a cumulative fashion. I can't imagine what the next hysteria will be, but I do know this: They will NEVER be satisfied. As long as there is a mangina willing to fight for them, they will wage war on male sexuality and female too.

No! Not a Quisling! Them's fightin' words!
Oh no, everybody! Eivind has really thrown down! What will we do?
wait. you're arguing that revenge porn should be condoned?
where a man or woman shares sexually explicit images or videos with their partner as a sign of trust and intimacy and then the partner feeling spiteful spreads what was between just them all over the place?
dude. While I agree it's not nearly as bad as child exploitation(which I would contend inflicts a great deal of harm on those far less able to endure it) it is still a profoundly dickish and spiteful thing to do. Much like blabbing secrets told in confidence just cause you had a falling out with the confider.
Kind of the same thing as leaking somebody's banking or medical information, shithead. It's private, given in confidence, and used maliciously can destroy lives.
How about everything you've ever shared with a lawyer or priest gets shouted into a microphone at a sold out concert? Would you 'regret' saying those things in what you had assumed to be a secure context?
Well remember that when you inevitably wind up in court and you have to choose between getting any legal advice whatsoever and not spilling something that you wouldn't want to become a barroom joke.
Hey, go ahead and Quisl, if you like. Fine by us.
Quisling was hanged, by the way. So you've got that to look forward to.
I see people already said everything to be said on the topic. Have some fucking culture in your relationship, have some in your breakout fuckwad. Ending your relationship in a quarel is no reason to post private stuff or to conduct any kind of revenge(and that one`s for the ladies too, don`t turn into the internet version of the fucking grudge just for being dumped).
I know that the Norwegian people have sentenced me to death, and that the easiest course for me would be to take my own life. But I want to let history reach its own verdict. Believe me, in ten years' time I will have become another Saint Olav.
Men having to share a bit of their privileges with women is not men-hating, it's merely striving towards equality. Don't like having your privileges reduced? Then imagine never having had them in the first place.
The women don't regret having taking nude pictures. They simply thought that the pictures were private, an act of love, between her and her significant other. What they are angry about is the break of that trust, the unwanted spread of their most intimate gift. The hint is in the word REVENGE, asshole! It's an act of hatred by the spouse, not an act of love or lust.
As long as there are men like you, determined to hate women, we will never be satisfied; that's right.
Revenge porn is male sexuality? I'd say that a majority of men would probably like to beat you up for accusing them of being creepy pond-scum like that. They probably see you as weak and petulant and childish.
@ Thanos6
More is impacted by it than you care to think. You may be convinced you can handle your own financial and legal matters without a third party but it goes well beyond that and I'm not talking about company secrets or anything so droll though research and development in various fields can benefit more than a bottom line and it's protection of the process that makes it a viable investment.
If confidentiality were not protected law enforcement could not receive anonymous tips. Anyone who gave information to police would be at risk severely impacting law enforcement.
Stage names and pseudonyms can be hidden behind to protect oneself from people they piss off intentionally but they also protect the family and associates of people with a more noble purpose from persecution if they express views that agitate political powers, social norms, or one of the many extremist groups that can be set off on violent rampages. Hell, just being in porn can turn a community on someone if their real name gets out.
On a more personal level yet one that arguably has an even greater impact on society as a whole it's the assurance of confidentiality that allows people to unburden themselves psychologically. People fear that anything they say might be used against them. In dysfunctional relationships particularly that fear can be justified. Abusive family or spouses or even particularly spiteful neighbours could take advantage of insecurities and mental illness to do serious harm if they managed to coax that information out of a counsellor or other trusted individual and not addressing emotional issues and psychological stress is - to say the least - unhealthy.
Breach of trust in all forms is something of a sticking point for me and one of the quickest ways to get on my bad side. I sincerely doubt anything you say could budge me on that subject.
@Passerby : Nor shall I try to budge you. Although I could debate your points, given the self-stated importance you give to the concept, and my own deeply-held disdain for said concept, I think it would be better for us both to just agree to disagree.
@ Thanos6, Passerby
Nice to see grown-ups talking.
I think that the point will soon be moot anyway, with the increase in surveillance tech it won't be too long before everything everywhere is overt.
It wouldn't surprise me if our great-grandchildren have a hard time understanding the concept of privacy.
Given that Quisling was the head of government in Norway after the Nazis invaded, Berge has just Godwinned himself.
@ The Watcher
You know who else identified as a Quisling? The one who shot up Utoya and killed 69 people, plus eight others.
Maybe they are fighting words. The cops who arrested him ought to find another excuse. (Shouldn't be difficult.)
Confused?
