Well, as a Christian, I beleive that everything in the Bible is true. And in the Bible, it has a verse (i don't know exactly which one. my friend said he'd look it up for me, but I've got to ask him again) that says that God made man for woman and woman for man, not man for man, woman for woman, or woman for animal.

Okay, people, no way this deserves a rating of "1"; either someone is tipping the scale (out of embarrassment, either personally or for a friend), or someone has the rating concept backward.
"I believe that everything in the Bible is true," she says, without personally knowing even the ONE thing she wants to present as an example. At least this isn't willful ignorance so much as willful gullibility. She might as well just wear a T-shirt with the word "SUCKER" emblazoned across it (well, except that someone might get the idea that it's meant as a sexual advertisement, which would be inappropriate).

Huffers, actually I do read the Bible from time to time and am about to join a group comprised of people from various faiths (mostly Pagans) who are studying various religious texts, including the Bible. I don't view it as dull (well, except for maybe all the "begats"). It's like any other book of mythology I read. I find it all fascinating, but then I'm a nerd like that.
I still think the Song of Solomon has been a cause for more than a few blushes in Sunday school.

"If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart. Behold, I will corrupt your seed, and spread dung upon your faces, even the dung of your solemn feasts; and one shall take you away with it." (Malachi 2:2-3)
"Wherefore my bowels shall sound like a harp for Moab, and mine inward parts for Kirharesh." (Isaiah 16:11)
"But Rabshakeh said unto them, Hath my master sent me to thy master, and to thee, to speak these words? hath he not sent me to the men which sit on the wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink their own piss with you?" (II Kings 18:27)
"And thou shalt eat it as barley cakes, and thou shalt bake it with dung that cometh out of man, in their sight. And the LORD said, Even thus shall the children of Israel eat their defiled bread among the Gentiles, whither I will drive them." (Ezekiel 4:12-13)
and as I read this I'm listening to "The Game of Love" by the Mindbenders: "The purpose of a man is to love a woman and the purpose of a woman is to love a man!"
i laughed, especially since I'd just been thinking "this song is a bit heterosexist, isn't it"
"[...]that says that God made man for woman and woman for man, not man for man, woman for woman, or woman for animal."
So man for animal is totally okay, right?
If you believe everything in the Bible to be true, you ought to know it by heart first.
I take it you'd never wear clothes of mixed fabrics, eat shellfish, or work on the Sabbath, then, dearie.
So then do you also live by the verse that says that no woman should speak out, especially not in church? I can't remember which verse exactly, but I asked a friend to look it up for me.
Here it is I Timothy 2:12 . So since Blue Eyed Girl believes the Bible is true, she should STFU according to her own Bible.
So, you quote something from a +2000 page book (depending on the edition and the trasnlation) and don't bother bring even a LITTLE more specific???

No, God created man for his own pleasure. Paul said in 2nd Corinthians 7:31-33 (NIV): "31 those who use the things of the world, as if not engrossed in them. For this world in its present form is passing away.
32 I would like you to be free from concern. An unmarried man is concerned about the Lord’s affairshow he can please the Lord. 33 But a married man is concerned about the affairs of this worldhow he can please his wife" meanng that NOT EVERYONE NEEDS TO BE MARRIED AND MAKE BABIES!! Thus, your own Book disagrees with you. That, plus loads of andocetal evidence that many couples, both gay and straight, say that they are "made for each other" this also condractidicts your hypothesis some..
A little Googling brought up Genesis 1:27, 1:31 and 2:22. "Male and female he made them" etc...
If you haven't even read to the second chapter of the first book of the Bible, I don't give much for your "Everything in the Bible is true" statement.
He made MAN for the Garden.
He made all the beasts of the field for helpmeets. Adam turned down the cow, the horse, the doggie, sheep, all the favorites.
Women was made for a highly picky man. later.
Confused?
