> Once the true meaning of marriage is destroyed, then communists and other atheistic ideologues will have removed the main building block of a civilized free society.
Wow! I live in a civilised free country too. Not America, but still!
Let's see what our constitution says about main building blocks of our civilised free country.
"...The constitution shall guarantee the inviolability of human dignity and the freedom and rights of the individual and promote justice in society. ..."
Hrrrm. This is weird.
"...Democracy entails the right of the individual to participate in and influence the development of society and his or her living conditions."
Bloody heck. I wonder if the folks who wrote our constitution had some sort of a weird, Communist idea about what the fundamental building block of a society is?
Weird, huh? The only place our constitution mentions marriage is in the native-born citizenship, and even there it's just broadly termed as "parents" - not necessarily male and female only. Besides that, it babbles about "individuals"... "everyone"... "no one"... "citizens".
Society doesn't need marriage to function. Individuals may need that, if you're into that sort of thing.
But maybe America is different? Maybe you have some strange constitutional clauses that determine the underpinnings of the society in a way alien to us? If that is indeed the case, enlighten me!
