Europe doesn't have much of a moral compass anymore, so it's no wonder that the majority of them believe in evolution. The belief in a theory that says things got here for no real reason is an immoral and illogical theory. Dumb luck is not a scientific theory, anyway, yet that's what natural selection is: the unlucky variants get selected out, leaving the lucky variants. Morality is grounded in truth, and there is nothing truthful about luck as something that can cause things to originate.

What does moral compass have to do with science? At all.
That said, you dont understand evolution at all.
I was gonna ask, "What the hell is this hodgepodge of insane blathering?" And then I realized, oh, it's just Supersport.
it ain't luck, it's adaptability.
morality does not come into play. if you want me to dumb down evolution to your level, think of the cold war:
usa vs ussr. one gets guns. the other gets more guns. the other gets a bigger gun. the other then get a bigger and better gun.
in the end, the usa survived because they survived bankruptcy longer. evolution in action.
(oh gods do i feel stupid for dumbing it down to that level. i need a cookie)
"Europe doesn't have much of a moral compass anymore, so it's no wonder that the majority of them believe in evolution."
Red states never had much of a reality compass so it's no wonder that the majority of them believe in a magic man poofing everything into existence a few years ago."
Morality does come into it though... altruism is a big part of human evolution, and why we became the dominant species. Not because babble-gawd handed down some stone tablets that made being jealous of your neighbor's livestock a more serious crime than rape or slavery, but because our survival depends on working together and forming cooperative relationships...
"Morality is grounded in truth"
Oh really? Truth includes historical truth, so perhaps Supersport can start by showing us the morality of totalitarian rule in the 20th century.
Yeah, and taking out the economic shit we had to take from America the last four years, we're still way happier, freer than you and better at science, so excuse my language, but go fuck yourself were the sun doesn't shine.
Europe: Hey Doctor, after the operation, will I have a moral compass anymore?
Talk to me about Feudalism, or visit a cemetery in Brussels, then let's discuss the "good old days" and the moral compass. You're not smart enough to describe a fork, let alone the Theory of Evolution.
Europe doesn't have much of a moral compass anymore...
Funny how European countries rank first in happiness, human development, education, freedom of the press, democracy, health care and so forth...
The belief in a theory that says things fall for no real reason is an immoral and illogical theory. I mean, when I drop something, why does it fall to the floor? It must be God pushing it down! Objects, or even whole planets, attracting each other for no reason just doesn't make sense. And don't forget, Hitler used this bizarre theory to launch V-2 rockets on England.
@ Flinger--Super is NOT one of ours?! Holy shitsnacks!
He blends in so well with your typical Mississippi trailer trash. It warms my heart to see that fundamentalist rednecks have figured out how to migrate.
Natural selection is a matter of adaptation for survival, not dumb luck. It would be nice if the ToE had a moral compass, but sadly, that's not required for it (or any other scientific theory) to work.
Ya know what's really funny ?
" ToE version of Human origins: Humans are the lucky genetic variants who escaped the error-correction mechanism that dumb luck dumb-lucked into existence. SS "
That's his posting sig.
That's him quoting himself.
Need I say more ladies and gentlemen?
Dude, Europe never had a "moral compass." Remember slavery, anyone? Imperialism? An entire navy "built on rum, the lash and sodomy?" Yeah. Great folks, those Europeans.
@His4Life
Europe's moral compass was at its lowest when religious fervour was at its peak. The more Europe has shunned religion, the more "moral" it has become. Funny, that.
Oh, and of course there has never been a recorded incidence of slavery in the good ol' USA, has there? Especially not in the "morally upright", deeply religious South - hotbed of such deeply moral organisations as the KKK.
'Dude, Europe never had a "moral compass." Remember slavery, anyone? Imperialism? An entire navy "built on rum, the lash and sodomy?" Yeah. Great folks, those Europeans.'
Ok, now try to think a place a bit closer to you than Europe where slavery was rather popular.
Then try to think whether imperialism was pivotal in the early development of that place.
And you seem to have missed out one word in your comment about the Royal Navy. The full quote, sometimes attributed to Churchill, was "Rum, sodomy, prayers and the lash" as I'm sure you know. But as we've already seen, you have quite a thing for sodomy which clearly exceeds your interest in praying.

Before this argument gets out of hand, let me simply add to it Lord Russell's wisdom:
"No nation was ever so virtuous as each believes itself, and none was ever so wicked as each believes the other."
@His4Life
Nice try with the word games, but no cigar/
"European Americans" were first and foremost Americans. Of European descent, no doubt, but still Americans. You know, those well-entrenched landowners who went to war (and lost) to preserve their version of the American lifestyle, not new immigrants straight off the boat.
Confused?
