Yep. When we get to Heaven, we will be members of an absolute monarchy, with God the Father having given full authority to Jesus Christ to rule and reign. Man is so good at trying to shrink absolute and concrete truths to fit his own understanding. Durhhh..let's see..I like Democrats, so God must be one too!

Let's see.....
Only those who believe the crap you believe will get into something called "heaven".
In this "heaven" you will all be "members of an absolute monarchy".
So, if everyone is a king (there will be no queens since, according to a previous raptard post, women are evil and cannot enter "heaven"), then every man is equal and no man rules. Kings who rule nothing. Interesting concept and closer to the truth than this raptard possibly understand:
Heaven is nothing.
I see you've never lived under an absolute monarchy. Nowadays, they're called dictatorships. It's a government where the only change you and I would expect is pain or death.
Eternity under an absolute dictatorship would be the hell you imagined it to be.
"Man is so good at trying to shrink absolute and concrete truths to fit his own understanding."
Man is so good at pretending to pretend that there are absolute and concrete truths to make it seem like he has a semblance of control over his own existence.
"I like Democrats, so God must be one too!"
Way to miss the damn point, you moron. The bumpersticker you are undoubtedly reacting to is itself a reaction to the Republican assumption that they are "the party of God" while simultaneously suggesting a very common and verifiable sentiment that I am sure you are unfamiliar with about Jesus being a liberal. Which, given that he supported a sort of proto-socialism, he demanded tolerance of one another in many ways, and condemned the wealthy...does that sound like a Republican platform?
"I like democrats so God must be one too!" Don't tell me you finally read the Bible and realized Jesus was a liberal? They'll kick you straight out of Rapture Ready for actually reading unauthorized, non-cherry picked Scripture. Of course if you really read the Bible you'll want out since rapture isn't found anywhere in the Bible.
Nah, this is from a thread on RR mocking the "God isn't a Republican" stickers. In their little minds, if you say "God is not a Rebublican" then you are BY DEFINITION saying "God is a Democrat." There is no third option:
Democrat = !Republican
Having either built this straw man to knock down, or upset themselves by not questioning this assumption, they then go ahead and mock the absurd idea.
Don't be smart. Just be Rapture Ready.
Colonel Bob Ingersoll had some choice words for people who thought Heaven was an actual place...something about advertising a space for rent. In their heads.
He was a contemporary of those misguided wights who started that ridiculous rapture fad back in the 1800s.
Why does there have to be ruling and reigning in heaven? I thought it was just one big cookout with all the relatives you couldn't stand down here. And have you given any thought to what you'll discuss? Eternity is a long time, and your earthly knowledge is doubtless exhausted in five minutes or less.
If you are in Heaven and everything is fine (lol), what is the point of being a ruler? How can you be a king if everyone else around is also a king/queen? PLus Im pretty sure Jesus is above you and then God.
So the Fundie court will look like
Yaweh
I
Jesus
I
The entire population of fundiedum (At least say, 500 thousand folks)
So the bottom tier will be kings of what? Each other? The angels? Or are the angels between Jesus and the fundie court? Or maybe different choirs of angels are above or bellow the fundie court.
Are jews, catholics, coptics, greek orthodox, Eastern Orthodox, and unis allowed in to form the Heavenly peasant class? Or are they going straight to hell?
Not Perfect has captured my imagination!
God isn't exactly very Democratic. I think he's right up the republicans ally, loves the idea of free will, as long as people use that will to do exactly what god wants, loves free speech, unless you say something he dosn't like, and he enjoys a good war occasionally.
Or like you. Wasn't Heaven supposed to be a place where we would be "like angels" with no need of job, taxes, marriage, food, etc..........?.Politics apply here too.
I lived under 2 totalitarian regimes.
That's more than enough thank you.
And what will you be doing for eternity there.
Singing "praise the lord" 45 times per minute on a 24/7 basis? Sounds like fun until you get laryngitis.
"I love how the raptards have such an indepth fantasy that isn't even scriptural. The basic concept of the rapture isn't even IN the scriptures. ANYWHERE."
Shhh, Justin - it's a secret!
So, one version of God has given another version of himself absolute authority? Isn't that tautological? He must already have absolute power to grant it to someone else (which I guess he technically isn't), and if he already has the power, why would he need to be granted it? Unless... You're polytheistic! HEATHEN!!
See, this is what happens when you make up retarded crap like the trinity... You sound as retarded as your beliefs.
"Man is so good at trying to shrink absolute and concrete truths to fit his own understanding "
facepalm. Shiny mirror. Pot-meet-kettle. Irony meter broken. Headdesk. There aren't enough memes in all the internets to react appropriately to someone who insists the biggest hippie* of all ancient Europe is/was a Republican.
"Durhhh..let's see..I like Democrats, so God must be one too! "
See above. Also, way to comprehend that there are political positions outside of mainstream American discourse.
Sadly, I'm not surprised you long for life under a totalitarian authoritarian dictatorship. I feel terrible for you that you think that could ever be a good thing.
*Leo Tolstoy and Oscar Wilde both thought of Jesus of Nazareth as an early or proto-anarchist, and the movement of liberation theology takes his socialist teachings as his most important in addition to believing he is/was a literal revolutionary.
Confused?
