Perhaps one cannot prove that gays caused Rome to fall, but like so many others it did fall and many Romans were "gay". This scenario has repeated itself many times with many nations/civilizations, even including modern France and Germany (WWII).

All civilisations fall. True.
All civilisations have gay people. True.
However,
All civilisations have men.
All civilisations build houses.
All civilisations have various religious rites.
All civilisations make tools.
Et cetera.
You know, Rome fell after xtianity was made the state religion.
WW2 Germany was ruled by right wing fascists.
See a correlation? Maybe we should outlaw xtianity before it's too late.
One could make the case that Rome fell after it accepted Christianity as the state religion, which is factually true. Whether or not it was the cause is debatable.
Here's a question, since you seem to be such an expert on ancient Rome: How long did Rome have gay people before it fell?
Christianity became the official religion of Rome, is that the reason it fell? Probably not.
Oh and despite what fischface and lifeless tell you the rulers of nazi Germany were not gay, they sent gays to death camps.
As a polytheist worshiping the Roman Gods, I do find it interesting that Rome got weaker and more dysfunctional as Christianity got stronger and more dominant. Theodosius I, the Emperor who finally cast off the Pax Deorum altogether, was the last one to rule over a unified Roman Empire. It's almost like there were consequences to casting off the Pax Deorum, and the new God was either unable or unwilling to pick up the slack.
When Romans were feeding Christians to lions in the Colosseum, Rome was the greatest empire the world had ever seen. It stretched from Scotland to Egypt, from Portugal to Iran. That empire has been the standard that civilizations have been compared to ever since.
After they stopped feeding the lions, the Empire collapsed. Obviously, the solution to creating a great civilization is to feed Christians to lions. Would you be so kind as to meet me at the zoo?
To everyone here who is pointing out facts:
Don't bother. Seriously. Click on the link. I've been debating this guy, and I pointed out that Rome fell after embracing Christianity. His response was that they still probably had gays.
"Perhaps one cannot prove that gays caused Rome to fall,"
But we can prove christianity caused Rome to fall.
Rome flourished for hundreds of years with gays, but 100 years after christianity became the official religion, the empire was in full collapse.
"even including modern France and Germany (WWII).
"
Wrong again. Nazi Germany put gays in death camps. Ten years later they were in ruins. You don't want America to be in ruins.
Rome fell when it was Christian. In fact, the few remaining people who still believed in their native mythology blamed the fall on the abandonment of the gods.
Also, Rome wasn't gay. It was very homophobic at that stage, with gay acts punishable by death.
Perhaps one cannot prove that pedophila is causing Christianity to die, but like other religions it is dying and many priests are "pedophiles". This scenario has repeated itself many times with many sects/religions, even including modern Judaism and Islam
Confused?
