“My Pastor made an interesting comment this morning in church...”
Interesting, but untrue. Your pastor lied.
“He was saying about how the government is trying to take the Bible completely out of schools.”
My wife taught English in High School. Much of literature only makes sense in relation to the bible passages that inspired the author.
The sad part is, most nominally CHristain kids don’t know shit about the bible. So when wife asked who remembered the story of Job, she got blank stares. They know Noah, Jonah, David (in connection with Goliath only), and maybe Adam and Eve. Parents aren’t teaching them the bible, so don’t go bitching if schools don’t.
"There is next to know teachings about God in schools.”
It’s not the state’s place to do so.
“Now this is the same government who has declared that only evolution is to be taught in schools.”
Because the science is extensive.
“Now why does that not raise red flags to those who claim to believe in God?”
Because most people are more rational than the idiots who think only atheists accept evolution.
Or more apathetic, either one.
"If this godless government is stipulating that is the truth and the only thing to be taught”
They’re not. But if you want the Bible taught, you need objective evidence to support it.
“why on earth would a Christian automatically go against the Bible and say evolution is true?!”
Then don’t. Don’t say that. Say it’s the best science has offered, yet. But ‘truth’ is for math and philosophy classes.
“It is very troubling!”
Dinnae fash y’sel. You’re making it troubling all by yourself.
