Jesus is not mentioned by name in the old testament, but he is refred to by deed many times, he is even quoted word for word, centuries before his birth.

Therefore, if someone punches me and knocks out a tooth and I respond in kind, then saying "an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth", then I am Jesus?
Before his birth? How many times? I bet, only once before, and he brought his own weapons.
I bet he also pushed it to the limit.
Wow, only the power of God could allow someone to act out prophecies that had been written down for hundreds of years...
That, or he read them and then did what they said the messiah would do.. Or someone just wrote down that he did, regardless of whether he existed, but still-- wow.
Do you know why Python did Life Of Brian about the Jews desperately seeking and needing a messiah? Because the Romans documented this belief and named many others that were followed and believed to be devine at that time. It gave them a historical context away from all the bullshit the Christian Bible invented, that self-fulfilling prophecy know as the New Testament
LOL... quoted word for word centuries before his birth. How come it does not strike you that maybe Jesus was quoting the Old Testament verbatim, and not the the other way around?
Oh, wait... you're a fundie...your stupidity is excused.
No, he's not.
'Nuff said.
So, I wrote a Discworld story, and now and then i put words into the Bursar’s mouth to make mysteriour prophecies. When i get to the point that i want to echo another character in another scene… I scroll. I read through the appropriate chapter and, as needed, put the Bursar’s words into the Necromancer’s mouth, or the Zombie’s words into the Bursar’s mouth. Not all that difficult, but 100% Accurate!
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
