IMO, the reason we have so many different denominations is not so much do to interpretation of scripture, but do to sin in our lives. For instence, imoral sex, many churches tolarate imoral sex within their churches, only IMO because they refuse to acept the clear writting of scripture and refuse to give up their love for that sin. Just an example and just MO, so they form a church that does not convict themselfs of those sins.

Yes, of course that's it. The Southern Baptists formed their own denomination in the name of sexual permissiveness. Either that, or there are so many denominations because it is impossible to read the Bible coherently.
So he's saying the difference between a Mennonite, a Lutheran and a Roman Catholic is that one or the other tolarates [sic] imoral [sic] sex? I think that would come as a surprise to Mennonites, Lutherans and Catholics.
The bible was "written" with precisely these schisms in mind. It may have been possible, in the pre-literacy days in Europe, for the priesthood to guide the sheeple in very specific and controlled ways, but as soon as every burgher had his own copy and had the leisure to form his own opinion, the fun started.
THERE IS NO SINGLE CORRECT INTERPRETATION.
In other words, it's conducive to societal schizophrenia. If the bible was meant to be a joke or something, it is the foulest joke ever inflicted upon the race.
If it was meant to be an expression of Truth, it fell flat on its ass.
We hear claims that so-and-so is a True Christian simply because of their "interpretation", and another is an atheist due to theirs.

I mean come on, candles all around, coloured light streaming thru the windows covering the naked bodies of yourself and your partner(s), lighting up the glistening sweat in myriad colours... damn I'm getting horny just thinking about it. The only downside I can see is that the pews are so damn uncomfortable
