[On "getting the Constitution back"]
Why would we want it "back"? So our progeny can have the same messy quagmire of secular human "laws" and "rights" to clean up 200 years from now?

So you don't want rights? That would be fine by me, except that the law applies to everyone - even you - and denying any citizen their legal rights can only lead to dictatorship.
Since I don't want to live in a dictatorship, it is in my interest to ensure that the law applies to all - even to those who disdain it.
While it would be a disaster for practically everyone, it would also be hilarious if the the Constitution's secular laws were actually removed... and replaced with, say, Muslim or Hindu laws. Cue pants shitting.
The worst thing about this "getting the Constitution back" idea is that it's totally related to the 'getting our country back' and 'making America great like it used to be' BULLSHIT because everyone that uses these buzz phrases has no intention of honoring the Constitution in any way.
These are all right wing harpings and none of them reflect reality. The Constitution has never been fully realized, you still own your country and it was never the shining city on the hill country you pretend existed.
"Why would we want it "back"?"
Well, considering how that 'Goddamn Piece of Paper' is the only thing ensuring your pwecious 2nd Amendment & religion's right to exist, you tell me.
That scene in "World War Z", in which the actual US Constitution was saved from the oncoming Zombie Apocalypse: such is it's importance, that scene alone speaks volumes of how such would be needed as the basis of rebuilding a civilised nation.
Even Stevie Wonder could see the metaphor that scene represents. If only you & all your ilk could too.
Confused?
