I will also say that, as a guideline, even most 'G' rated moves are not acceptable for the Christian family. Certainly movies rated PG and higher are not.

So what about all the millions of Christians who not only saw, but LOVED, The Passion of the Christ? Not only wasn't that movie G-rated, it was R-rated! Wonder what you'd have to say about that...
Oh, dear. You can't possibly have your flock watching movies that might raise thought-provoking questions that you'd have to keep a lid on, can you?
No, they'd best just stick to what in Britain would be rated Uc (suitable for all, especially children).
Think about it. Randy doesn't care about sex or violence, he could care less about those, he can sell those as evil. "G" rated movies contain "ideas" that he finds objectionable like strong females, female equality, racial tolerance, interracial friendships and dating, religions getting along together, moderate religious concepts,etc... All of these are found in "G" movies and might cause Randy's overly naive and impressionable crew to question his brand of religion narrowed to fit his own personal bigotry. "G" scares him far more than "XXX".
Bro. Randy tries to shut his followers off from the rest of the world. When they grow up, they will be moral infants, totally unprepared for what the adult world has in store for them.
The result may be something far worse than what happened at Virginia Tech.
The saddest part about this one is that the kid came on asking everyone at T-4-C what movies were acceptable, or what websites review movies by Christian standards. Randy shows up and says that we don't recommend web sites here and not to watch any movies above G rated, at most, and closes down the thread.
WTF?
Oh yeah, CAPAlert. Funny as hell, esp. its "back to school" special... OMFH, Anarchy, Peace sign and Yin-Yang... TEH EBIL!!! *saving throw vs. death by laughter, DC 40*
I'm still waiting to see their reaction to a H-anime with tentacles... *chuckle*
Also found it telling that he posted "we do not recommend other sites here"... I guess even othe rfundie influence = danger to his influence, eh?
Of course Bro. Randy does not approve of the movies. It's a trend: he doesn't approve of music, television, popular literature, or radio. Why? Because the first priority in establishing a fascist system is to control, restrict, and ban all outside sources of information and ideas. If I were to start a cult it's the first thing I'd do...
He's not afraid of creativity, not at all. In fact, he's very creative with his interpretation of the Bible.
He's afraid of any outside sources of information or ideas influencing his "kids." It's also why he advocates home-schooling and deletes all references to other websites, books, or anything not from him on T4C.
It's basic logic: if you control the input, you will control output.
Anybody else want to chip in and send bro.Randy a copy of David Cronenberg's "Crash", preferably have him watch the NC-17 version.
How about Videodrome? A Clockwork Orange?
By the way, the CAPalert review for American History X is quite the comedic masterpiece, too.
brother dandy must hate having fun. (he says stupid bullshit like cATHOLIC cHURCH and bill Klinton and sATAN so i'm gunna spell his name wrong. i can't really accomplish much by this, but hey, it's briefly amusing ;)
Now you're determining what they should watch Randy?
SO that's:
-Telling them who their friends should be
-Telling the girls they're here to breed and be slaves to men.
-Telling them what they should where
-Telling them what to watch
-Telling them what to read
-Telling them what to think
-And you want to edit their emails as well.
That's called a CULT, Randy. Perhaps we should call the FBI on YOU.
He also bans; devil's food, red-hots, and anything with the number '6' including his calculator. He won't buy a Coupe De Ville, eat banana's, eat Greek food, eat Hellmann's mayo, or buy mineral oil.
Well we know Disney movies are the devil because:
Jungle Book - depicts humans living alongside other animals, including monkeys, which suggests evolution. Plus, the human doesn't gun down all the animals to show his status as the dominant species on Earth.
Mulan - suggests that women are equals, plus it's about Asians, who we all know are Satan-worshippers
Lion King - makes an iron-fisted...er, clawed, dictator look bad
Pocahontas - depicts heathen Native Americans in a favorable light and their godly British conquerers as bad guys
Fox and the Hound - depicts interspecies friendship, which may encourage interracial fraternization
Lady and the Tramp/Aristocats - again, portrays dating outside race or social class in favorable light
Yeah "Brother" Randy, heaven forbid a family be exposed to the word "heck" or *gasp* some fart jokes!
Yet, it's fully acceptable to him for families to sit together and read a book chock full of gory violence, graphic sex, and all kinds of deviant behavior. Mmm-hmm.
I think Randy's just afraid of people being exposed to new ideas or different world-views, because he's scared he'll lose the grip on his cult.
Part of the CAPalert rating for Beowulf (which was a rather good film - awesome CG)
"There is no doubt watching this film will incite sexual thoughts and feelings -- lust of the eyes -- in your 13 year old kids"
OH NOES!!1! Me bootiful eyes!!! Seriously, that site is comedy central. Its so far up its holier-than-thou arse its forgotten which century its in.
As for Bro. Pansy... seriously dude, grow up. Failing that - which he most certainly will - DIAF. Control freak.
I'd be more concerned about my kids developing a personal relationship with a guy called "Brother Randy" than their watching MONSTERS, INC.
Hey, have you guys ever noticed that the only film to get a perfect score on CAP Alert is NANNY POPPINS? A film whose entire basis is about a witch given custody of children and teaching them magic via songs like "Bedknobs and Broomsticks?"
They even criticized End of Days because Satan said derogatory things about God. I mean...what, it's ok when the Bible has slaughter and rape but if a film should dare to have legitimate conflict, it's a sin?
The ideal move would be to tie him to a chair and subject him to a Tarantino festival.
Then call the men in white coats to cart him away because we will have broken him for sure :-)
It may sound mean, but think of all the impressionable young Christans we could save from brainwashing. It would be a mitzva.
"Secret of NIMH" - featuring rodents with mystical powers: including the central character Mrs. Brisby, and what she does at the end with the amulet gifted to her by the rat colony's wise leader Nicodemus - will blow your fucking mind then, bro.
More so, when you learn that this powerhouse of classical animation was directed by Don Bluth: a Mormon .
...and as for "An American Tail" by Bluth, and produced by Steven Spielberg: who is Jewish ?! Oh I'm sorry Randiepoos: is that what's left of your brain bleeding from your eyes ?! >:D
@Mr_Vorhias
Some of them have talking Animals, or Animals playing Sports
A pity Steven Lisberger didn't do, say, an "Animalympics II". [/2028 Los Angeles]
This reminds me of our family watching a movie (often rented VHS at the epoch). Too often my dad would use "fast" or suddenly switch to a TV channel. Or he'd turn his head away because people were kissing or a woman wasn't dressed enough, expressing disdain. If you didn't do the same he'd scold you. I soon stopped watching films with the family. Friends, music, reading and computers were more interesting and less frustrating.
Confused?
