"The last Olympics I saw was in 2004 before I got saved.
Since being saved my love for this event has dwindled because it is all based in paganism and globalism and false religion of sorts."
Is it bad that I didn't even get half way through this part and "Rapture Ready" popped into my head?
"Not to mention the words that come out of the mouths of the athletes, never mentioning God, but more about focus and meditation."
Well, seeing that it's a Greek idea it would only be appropriate to mention the ancient Greek pantheon which would probably give you and every other fundy on the planet a massive coronary. It's probably in everyone's best interest that the athletes keep it the way it is.
"Now it is being held in one of the darkest corners of the earth with one of the biggest false religions to boot."
I'm not sure I'd call 5,000 kilometers across East Asia "one of the darkest corners of the earth". Aside from that, China is officially an atheist government (yes, I know, you people think atheism is a religion...).
"I love sport and the competition but this year I am torn over whether I should watch the opening ceremony as it will probably grieve my spirit.
What say you all???????????// "
I say you should leave your death worship cult and join the real world.
