"Since when is it ok for us decide that "my" life is more important than another's life?"
Okay, Baptistgal. Get yourself knocked up, then before labour sets in, complications arise that'd result in one of two scenarios:
1- The baby is born alive, but you die in the process.
2- If you want to continue to live, the baby must be sacrificed.
If you chose '1', fine. That's your decision. But what gives you the right to force any other woman to only have Option 1?
But then, if your 'God' existed, he'd give the woman a third option: never allow said complications to arise in the first place, thus both the mother and baby would survive.
Now ask yourself that question. If you have a shred of intelligence and common sense, you'd realise the only reason why said birth complications occur: God doesn't exist.
One last thing. Clearly you're saying this just as an apologetic for your so-called 'Pro-Life' attitude. Ask yourself this: would you & every other 'Pro-Lifer' be prepared to look after all the unwanted babies in the world? If your answer is the one I'm thinking of, then you have no right to criticise abortion. Thus the 'Pro-Life' movement FAILS, you should all just STFU, and realise that what an individual woman chooses to do with her body has FUCK ALL to do with you.
