On the HGTV show "House Hunters" it seems as if 1 in 5 couples looking for a house are homosexual.
So? Now gays can't even look for a place to live without you fundies sticking your fat noses into their business? What next? Are you going to protest them being able to eat? *remembers the fundie reaction to the French McDonald's ad* Oh, never mind.
Yesterday two men were looking for larger "family home" because they are ready to adopt children.
Good. What, you'd rather the children sit around in some orphanage with nobody to care for them? And there are TONS of orphans out there.
The hosts of the show mention it in such a matter-of-fact manner you have to remind yourself it's two guys, not a normal married couple.
I know, it sucks when you have to remind yourself to be a bigot, doesn't it? Why can't these TV shows do all of the work for us and draw devil horns on them or something, right?
When my beautiful cousin suddenly dumped her husband and "married" a woman in a lavish ceremony --happily attended by their parents, friends, family-- that did it for me.
Aw, you got jealous, didn't you?
It was apparent our culture no longer viewed marriage as a sacred union to be respected.
THAT'S what did it? I'd have thought it was any of the two week long Hollywood marriages or the high divorce rate (especially high among fundies) or the number of people that cheat on their spouses. Straight people have made marriage a joke all on their own and this was long BEFORE any serious talk of allowing gay marriage even began.
