Ummmm... the Theory of Evolution contradicts the Theory of Evolution. There are thousands of contradictions. The scientific papers don't even agree on many key aspects of the evolutionary myth. Archaeology contradicts evolution. Science definitely does not support evolution.
Just more evidence that evolutionary religion is a mental switch off for even the most intellectually gifted people on earth. Wilful ignorance.

Funny thing about Science: Science looks at the evidence available and uses it to reach the most likely conclusion. Sometimes, yes, the evidence can conflict and contradict itself. Yes, sometimes, the evidence doesn't completely explain everything.
At this point, fundies will go: "Well, that means your Science is wrong and Goddidit, now worship Him and beg forgiveness"
Scientists would, however, go: "Hmm, that's odd, there must be something we don't know yet, let's keep looking."
And, as has been said here frequently in the past, once Science finds evidence that proves previous ideas wrong, the ideas are discarded. For you fundies in the same situation, the evidence is discarded.
So which group has the "mental switch off" and "willful ignorance" again?
...okay, look. I know it sometimes looks like scientists just say that evolution is true without providing evidence, but the reason they do that is because they have already provided the evidence a hundred times before. It wasn't an invitation to go around randomly declaring things with no evidence whatsoever.
Ummmm... the bible contradicts the bible. There are thousands of contradictions. The biblical scholars don't even agree on many key aspects of the bible myth. Physical evidence contradicts the bible. Science definitely does not support claims made in the bible.
Just more evidence that religion is a mental switch off for even the most intellectually gifted people on earth. Wilful ignorance.
Fixed.
Just because scientists disagree on the interpretation of data does not mean that the theory, as a whole, is false. If that were true, then we could simply point to Young Earth and Old Earth Creationists and say that creationism was false. It is false, but for reasons that have to do with scientific evidence, not stupid grandstanding on a fundie website.
Richard Lenski's long-term E-coli experiment. Also, the fact we humans share at least 98% of our DNA with Chimpanzees.
...oh, and thank you for being another fundie who admits that 'Atheism is a religion'. So you won't mind in the slightest if you lot unchain your wallets and pay us the backdated tax rebate we Atheists are owed, then. You are so eager to say that 'Atheism is a religion', are you not...?!
And you lot are equally eager to say that yours isn't a religion, but 'A personal relationship with Jesus'. Welp, time for you lot to pay your sizeable chunk of the nearly $17 quadrillion Christianity owes to the IRS since 1776, I guess.
Just more evidence that Christain religion is a mental switch off for even the most intellectually retarded people on earth. Wilful ignorance. And tax avoidance . [/Kent 'Oh, Mark 12:17 Doesn't Apply To Me!' Hovind]
Has anyone read the article that the comment was attached to? It's about a nuclear physicist who argues that evolution could not happen, because (amongst other "arguments") the second law of thermodynamics contradicts it.
Nuclear physicist. Doesn't understand thermodynamics.
Mind thoroughly boggled.
Martin Smit: Your honor! What do you think of the Theory of Evolution?
Judge: Uh... I'm not sure I follow you.
Martin Smit: It clearly, er, contradicts the... um... I thought...
Judge: You don't sound very sure, Mr. Smit. Objection overruled.
Martin Smit: (I don't think that won me any points with the judge...)
Far from being a "mental switch off," I actually had to put in some effort to understand the various aspects of evolutionary theory.
No, archaeology doesn't contradict evolution, it bridges social and physical sciences and isn't even a branch of biology. You might as well say that the applied science of computer programming language theory contradicts evolution.
Science definitely does not support evolution.
Since you don't value Science, why do you use it to disprove itself?
It's a good job that the vast majority of evidence linked to evolution doesn't come from the field of archaeology. [/smirk] If you're going to claim that evolution is contradicted by science then at least choose more relevant fields in your unsubstantiated point.
"Just more evidence that evolutionary religion is a mental switch off for even the most intellectually gifted people on earth."
It's a good job we have such scriptually sound individuals, such as yourself, to set those clever clogs straight, eh?
>Archaeology contradicts evolution.
Citation needed.
>Science definitely does not support evolution
Evolution is a fact. I can dig up my backyard and find the shells of animals that no longer exist. What is missing are animals that exist today. So something must have changed between then and now. Of course you fundies will just say "goddidit" and if that doesn't work "theflooddidit".
The theory of evolution by natural selection is on much firmer ground than it was when first expounded by Darwin and Wallace, thanks to genetics and more recently molecular biology.
Genesis 2 contradicts Genesis 1, the central tenet of Intelligent Design. Matthew, Mark and Luke contradict each other on the details of the Resurrection, the central tenet of Christianity.
Just more evidence that Christianity involves willful ignorance.
Science definitely does not support evolution
No matter how many times you assert this, it will still be a deliberate lie.
"“At which chapter in Genesis do we start believing God’s revelation and the fact that all Scripture is God-breathed?” he asked. “It is important to understand that the denial of the Genesis account of creation is a direct result of the theory of evolution which posits a naturalistic explanation for the origin of life.”
In the same article by Van der ventel a Phd in physics, and he manages to confuse abiogenesis with evolution. Coupled with his lack of understanding of the second law of thermodynamics and you have to wonder whether his doctorate is a $50 online type, or is he simply insane?
Evolution was settled beyond any possible doubt in the 1860s. Creationists are trying to ride a dead horse, a process which will never get them anywhere. Evolutionists have millions of fossils which have been described an published. These are physical objects. Creationists have a book without a shred of physical evidence. Guess which of these constitutes scientific evidence.
“Ummmm... the Theory of Evolution contradicts the Theory of Evolution.”
betcha it doesn’t.
“There are thousands of contradictions”
Such as…?
“The scientific papers don't even agree on many key aspects of the evolutionary myth.”
Cite?
“Archaeology contradicts evolution.”
Lotsa claims, here. No specifics.
“Science definitely does not support evolution.”
Prove it.
“Just more evidence”
You haven’t offered any evidence.
“that evolutionary religion is a mental switch off for even the most intellectually gifted people on earth. Wilful ignorance.”
Does this include the intellectually gifted that accept evolution , work in biology, AND accept God as a real force in the universe, and their lives?
Confused?
