Without sounding to critical, I must say that most people I encounter who believe in evolution, are quite literally uneducated people. I am not saying that evolutionists are uneducated at all, there are a lot of uneducated Creationists as well. I will go with the 'fossil planting' to explain this. God presented us with a ready-made earth. Nothing is impossible with God. Maybe He even copied another 'earth' as it was and presented us with the copied version. I feel that you underestimate an all-powerful God. He can snap His finger and make another billion 'earths' appear in 6 days. He can do as He pleases.
So basically there is a lot of evidence that indicates the Earth is young, and there is no evidence to indicate the Earth is old.

What is difficult for some I guess is coming to terms with the simple truth. Considering that evolution is presented long on retoric and short on substance it is impressive how some none the less passionately believe it.

This is not only much faster (and more powerful) than regular gas cars, but it’s also much more fuel - efficient. Right now there are companies that have torches that use water as fuel. These torches are much hotter and much more fuel – efficient than gas torches. It’s possible that dragons took water, separated the hydrogen from the oxygen, burned the hydrogen and used the oxygen (because fire needs oxygen to burn).

I'd say the earth is in pretty good shape for a billion year-old planet. When you consider the damage that meteors, natural disasters, etc. would have caused the planet over billions of years, it's reasonable to conclude that the earth is probably much younger than that.
