To answer the question of whether homosexuals (improperly called gays) should be executed is not my opinion to give. I have no opinion in the matter, except that I completely believe the Bible, and God in His Holy Word says all sinners are condemned since Adam sinned in the Garden of Eden (Romans 5:12). We were born condemned under the curse of sin. Of course, little children automatically go to Heaven, because they have not yet reached the age of enlightenment. Our text passage of Holy Scripture plainly requires the death penalty for the sins of bestiality, adultery and homosexuality. That is not my opinion, it is God's Word! Don't anyone quote me as saying that I think gays should die, because that is not accurate. You can quote me as saying that, “Brother Stewart agrees with the Holy Bible, which says that God wants homosexuals, murderers and adulterers to be executed by the government!” This is for the good of the land.

"I have no opinion in the matter, except that I completely believe the Bible, and God in His Holy Word"
So you're an unthinking robot?
So, Mr. Stewart, if you saw an openly homosexual person, or somebody who had committed adultery, walking down the street, would you begin to hurl rocks at them in an attempt to kill them regardless of the laws, or not? If so why haven't you done it yet? If not are you saying that secular laws outweigh god's law? In either case you are a hypocrite
"the Holy Bible, which says that God wants homosexuals, murderers and adulterers to be executed by the government!"
But God *doesn't* want people who sexually pursue underage kids to be executed by the government, does he, DJS?
I have no opinion in the matter
Yeah, sure. You just happen to agree with the bible that gays should be executed. If you really don't have an opinion, then why bring it up?
And saying, "I don't think people should execute gays but the government should" is not absolving you of any guilt.
@jephay
Would this bastard just die already? We need less of him.
No, we need him spouting his intolerance and hatred. People like him have done more harm to Christianity than anything we atheists could ever think of doing. We lost a powerful ally when Fred Phelps jumped in the box.
''Of course, little children automatically go to Heaven, because they have not yet reached the age of enlightenment.’'
But I thought children don’t go to heaven because of that fact? STAY CONSISTENT DAMNIT!
So being gay is a sin punishable by death, but child rape is just fine with your god, right Dave?
Understood. Thank you for clearing that up.
The "Age of Accountability" is not something that is mentioned in the Bible. As a former Lutheran, I know my church specifically mentioned it as something they rejected, and baptism (for infants) is considered very important.
"Thou shalt not kill."
"Judge not, lest ye be judged."
End of discussion.
The Enlightenment brought us AWAY from religion, silly!
Were you married to the girl you molested? No? You know what that means, don't you?
So, all executioners ought to be executed?
Yeah, we can see that Uganda is so much more good than Sweden or the Netherlands!
You do know that that adultery law means you get the death penalty for being raped in some backwards fundie countries, right?
Of course, little children automatically go to Heaven,
This is a doctrine that is not found in the Bible. The Bible warns against adding to the word of god. David, if your god exists, you are now doomed to hell.
Of course, little children automatically go to Heaven
But you, and other evangelicals, continually tell us that, thanks to Original Sin, humanity is inherently depraved and wicked. What is more, to illustrate this, you point to what you claim is the "selfish" behavior of small children. So, if your theology had any consistency at all, you would say that little children went to Hell.
they have not yet reached the age of enlightenment.
You mean they haven't read Rousseau and Kant?
This is for the good of the land.
The Bible says that commandments were given to the Israelites so that they would prosper in the Land of Israel. You, on the other hand, live on Guam.
"We were born condemned under the curse of sin." - So exactly how can we possibly be blamed and punished for that?
No, seriously, this I never understood. How can god possibly keep blaming and punishing the entire human race for a single, insignificant mistake one of our supposed ancestors once made? How is that possibly our fault? Our responsibility?
And if we're "cursed" with sin, then aren't we the victim here? Aren't we the ones really suffering under it? Then why are we supposed to be punished?
And then people like that still dare to claim their god is righteous.
"That is not my opinion, it is God's Word!" - But you are agreeing with it, spreading it, supporting it. Ergo you condone slaugtering innocent homosexuals for no reason. You nice man.

So in other words Dave, you think homosexuals should be executed.
"We were born condemned under the curse of sin."
That right there should be a major red flag. It's totally evil to punish children for the sins of their parents.
MORALITY FUCKING FAIL right on page 1 of your precious book.
I disagree. It is inhumane to have the death penalty for a "crime" that ain't a crime, or for a crime that ain't serious.
No matter what your Bu¥Bull says.

That's a pro abortion argument if I ever heard one. Why would want children to reach the age of enlightenment?
"Don't anyone quote me as saying that I think gays should die, because that is not accurate."
See, I don't agree with the bible that gays should be executed, I just happen to agree with the bible.
I get the feeling if this guy had lived hundreds of years ago, as opposed to now, he'd be all for slavery since black people have the "Curse of Ham" and the "Mark of Cain" and he'd use all sorts of scripture twisting to support it (all sorts of sermons then actually did this). And would think nothing of whipping a slave to death because they're "not human".
Back then, the minority who actually opposed it were looked at as if they were Satan himself when they were really the only ones who cared. And in the end, they won... slavery is no more but there's still a long, long way to go towards equality. And it's the same way today, anyone who dares long for peace, fairness and love is condemned.
Fundamentalists only really act the way they do because they feel like a gun is being held to their head at all times and if they dare "step out of line" they'll go to Hell. Which essentially boils down of a list of things to hate. It's a terrifying way to live and actually goes contrary to Jesus's entire message, but it's not as if they listen when people like Tim LaHaye have been dictating how and what they should believe and feel for decades.
++"To answer the question of whether homosexuals (improperly called gays) should be executed is not my opinion to give. I have no opinion in the matter, except that I completely believe the Bible"
So then you do have an opinion (albeit a parroted one), you lying little snake.
Of course, little children automatically go to Heaven, because they have not yet reached the age of enlightenment.
What in the Bible gave you that idea? Why do you think most Christians baptize children as infants?
Don't anyone quote me as saying that I think gays should die, because that is not accurate.
"...I think gays should die..."

Oops / doG
I have no opinion, I just conveniently agree with this opinion that murder is the appropriate response and think it should be your opinion too, by law. But remember that isn't my opinion so you can't condemn me for it. Now lets talk about how much I hate women wearing pants despite the existence of unisex clothing even at the time Deuteronomy was written and clothing in general having vastly different standards between cultures and conveniently ignore the parts about mixed fabrics. While we're at it let's just forget about crossbreeding livestock or the practice of growing different crops on the same fields.
Beat your kids for making me want to touch them inappropiately but God still loves me and it's unfair that I should be punished. God bless only the people who agree with me.

You people don't need to tell us what you believe should happen to gay people such as myself. You believe in the Bible wholeheartedly. The Bible says we are to be executed. Therefore, you believe we should be executed. (But rapists shouldn't. They just should marry their victims. AH! Now I see why you believe so much...)
There are multiple interpretations of the bible from the original Herbrew/Arameic/Greek texts. Not all of them condem "homosexuality", especially as those languages do not have an equivilent term.
Thus David HAS formed an opinion, in that he has chosen to follow a bigoted version of Christianity, instead of a more loving interpreation.
