Actually we can't really PROVE that platelets cause blood to clot. It may really, really look like it, but maybe it's

LOL. And speaking of blood clots, it's the reason why we have ischemic strokes which can block blood flow to the brain. Blood clots solve one problem (bleeding to death) by introducing another (artery/vessel blockages). Intelligently designed? Looks more like design compromise.

If we were intelligently designed, why didn't god give us the ability to instanteneuously coat our skin in some sort of steel armor or a healing factor which would prevent this sort of thing.
