[On a church canceling a man's funeral because he was gay.]
I agree that this was most likely a set up to further the homosexual agenda. The pastor should have found out more about the deceased and his lifestyle before he agreed to have the funeral at his church. Like Heather said, he should have gone ahead and given the eulogy, preaching about homosexuality being a sin and those who practice it don't get into heaven. Then it might get around the homosexual community that if you want to have your dead gay loved one's funeral at this church, you're going to have to sit through a biblical message on the evils of this particular sin. I'm thinking there will be few if anymore homosexual takers of funeral services at this church.

They shouldn't be required to have the funeral at their place, true. The timing, though? The timing was done to cause maximum trouble for the family of the deceased. That's assholish whether it's intentional or not.
As for it being a setup, I'm going to need proof. "That's the way gays work" ain't proof, it's simply naked bigotry.
I'm thinking there will be few if anymore homosexual takers of funeral services at this church.
And few if any more gay people and gay-tolerant people putting offerings in the collection plate. But you didn't think about that, did you?
And I'm with everyone else... canceling the funeral the day before it was to happen is totally assholish, because I'm sure it really put the family in a bind.

What agenda? His family needed a place to hold the funeral?
And are you so self absorbed that you think that this is just some sort of plot to make Christians look like a bunch of douches?
Well, no one needs to do that because you are managing quite well on your own*.

Point about being a douche proven.
Please point out where in the bible it says that homosexuals cannot get into heaven. I hate to break it to you but it doesn't say that anywhere. What the bible says is that ALL sin is equal in gods eyes. A lie is just as bad as murder.
As ridiculous as that is it is what your book says. All men are sinners and sin constantly. No one can avoid sin in this world, whether it be an impure thought, a white lie, or a thought about another's wife.
You condemn homosexuals not out of reverence for your god or holy book but out of pure ignorant bigotry on your part.
According to your holy book the little white lie that you tell your daughter or wife is just as sinful in the eyes of your god as a man who loves, and makes love, to another man.
There is no hierarchy of sins.
I'm sure it is very easy for you to get other bigoted Christians behind your condemnation of homosexuals because "they are living in sin". Are you not living in sin? The whole "cast the first stone", "remove the plank from your own eye" part of the bible escaped you, didn't it?

"I agree that this was most likely a set up to further the black agenda. The bus driver should have seated her in the back before another white passenger would have entered. Like Heather said, he should have gone ahead and forcibly reseated her, preaching about blackness being a sin and those who practice being black don't get into heaven. Then it might get around the black community that if you want to have a black person sit, you're going to have to sit through a biblical message on the evils of this particular sin. I'm thinking there will be few if anymore black takers of front seats at this bus."
Wtf do you people think, that he deliberately died so his funeral could be at a homophobic church? The only reason it was held there was because his family had ties to it and it was the only church in the area bug enough to hold all the guests. In fact, they were even going to bring in their own pastor to do the service, so there goes your little fantasy about telling teh gays how sinful we are and that the deceased is burning in hell for loving another man.
Every time something like this happens & gets out, it's one more nail in the coffin for fundy-right. Thank you for doing it all on your own, fundies! We don't have to lift a finger because you're doing such a wonderful job of running your own institution into the ground.
"Then it might get around the homosexual community that if you want to have your dead gay loved one's funeral at this church, you're going to have to sit through a biblical message on the evils of this particular sin"
'Might', you say? You can then bet your arse that the LGBT community in the whole US would be supporting - even financially - legal action by the relatives of said deceased against that so-caled 'Christian' church.
And not just from LGBT people against that church...:

...but from other churches too.
Just keep up your own annihilation, P.R.-wise, fundies. The sooner you become as much as an irrelevance as the KKK did in terms of racial bigotry, the better.
It's already happening with the WBC. And the KKK disassociated themselves from that group of Christains who are esentially the same as you , in terms of your attitude, as you're displaying here, so what does that say about you , o Ruptured Retards?
Dude, Rapture Ready is so reviled that my World of Warcraft guild* was trashing them in gchat yesterday. Congrats, you guys are well known for being assholes.
*To be fair, my guild tends to recruit adult liberals and has rules against homophobic and racist speech.
Typical comment from the sanctimonious dog-turds at RR.
They may consider themselves to be christians, but nobody else would,
I agree that this was most likely a set up to further the homosexual agenda
Not likely at all. But even if it was, you bigoted turds could have said nothing and let the funeral go ahead without your rampant homophobia. "It's all his fault for making us look like the bigoted intellectual pygmies that we really are."
Yeah, because showing empathy and compassion for the bereaved is SO overrated! Instead, let's make them sit through an angry ramble about how their loved one, who may be a saved Christian, is burning in Hell just for liking guys! Who knows, it may even bring people to Christ! [/sarcasm]
Confused?
