I thought of one of those holders stories when I read the first sentence.

If the door opens, and an old man is standing there, wait for him to speak. Under no circumstances may you speak first. The man will ask you, "What is the nature of god?" You may answer in any way you wish, but don't remain silent. He will hand you a book containing the knowledge of all gods. You must never open the book, for to do that will implant all the religious beliefs in the universe into your head, causing instant death.
This book is object 476 of 538. They must never be gathered back together again. Never.
