[re: voting for a woman for president]
No! Whether it be a president or a prime minister or a preist. makes no diference. Still No! Although I should note that when a man holds such a position I would rather he was married to a strong woman. I beleave men are supposed to do these jobs,But I do not beleave that he should do them without a strong woman to hold him up. (Note that there is a difference between holding someone up and making all the choices for him)
Just think if Ragan was not married? He might have tried to incorprate his job into all his movies. Or Clinton might have tried to legalize adultry. I beeave God made women for many role,s that men cannot perform. Ok one is way too obvious But I hope you get my point

Um, if Clinton wasn't married, why would he *need* to legalize adultery?
And as an aside, does anyone even know whether adultery is considered criminally prosecutable these days?

No, it is not -- at least, not in the United States. I wish to heck there were some way of prosecuting cheating spouses for their behavior, but there seems to be no support for the idea.

I'm trying to imagine Reagan if he wasn't married. Considering that he was senile for the last few years of holding office and his wife pretty much ran everything anyways, it's not a pretty picture.
If anything, I daresay that presidency is good proof that a woman CAN run the nation, since Nancy did do all the work.
Remember; A woman's place is in the House, the Senate and eventually the Oval Office, I'm sure we couldn't fuck it up any worse than the guys have. BTW I think Nancy Reagan had the help of the best astrologer money could buy to help her run the country when Ronnie was incapacitated

No, you don't. You really, really don't. It opens the legal door for government ability to determine when a person can have sex, and with whom.
Government must never again be allowed back into anyone consenting adults' bedroom under any circumstance after Lawrence v. Texas.
I'm a Christian, and was raised with some of these same beliefs, but after some good time in prayer and studying the Bible, I do not get this whole inferior woman thing at all. If anyone has read the book of Luke, Jesus elevates women to a level equal to men at least, something not even heard of for that region at that time. So I'm not sure how so many modern Christians manage to get this inferiority thing from it.
>>Misogynists can't stand the thought of having a woman above them in any way.<<
A shame, since the guys I'm above generally seem to like it.

After reading back over your post a few times, no, I really don't.

(*sigh*) Yeah, I guess you're right.
It bugs me, though. Cheaters deserve punishment of some kind (preferably, in my opinion, severe).

Give us the House, Senate, and the White House. I'm sure we couldn't frig it up any worse than it already is, thanks to some white male Republicans...
Hey, dipshit, adultry is legal.
Personally, I'd like to institute a minimum IQ for the presidency, but that isn't going to happen either.
@ Mimi
Don't forget Phoebe, who was mentioned in one of Paul's letters.
Also, there have been plenty of great women leaders throughout history. Has this guy ever heard of Theodora (who was a Christian) or Boudicca?
Too late for Margaret Tatcher, I guess. And men or women who hold positions of power are adviced by wise people, of course, AND they need supportive spouses, no doubt, but that´s not essential. It´s they who take decisions. And maybe, just maybe, if you learned to spell, you´d have more credibility. However.............
I do wonder what Alastair thinks of Margaret Thatcher, the Iron Lady, close friend to Reagan and one of the most prominent conservative figures of the 20th century, or is she a special case?
"He might have tried to incorprate his job into all his movies"
Methinks this guy thinks Ronald Reagan the actor was in the same time frame as Ronald Reagan, President. The president signed in three bills today while on the set of "Bonzo Lobbies for the Banana industry".
"Clinton might have tried to legalize adultry"
There's no law against it, no fines or incartiration applicable however it is a breach of trust under the marriage contract, usable only by the spouse.
Just think if Ragan was not married? He might have tried to incorprate his job into all his movies.
The way he ran California and the U.S. has Bedtime for Bonzo in common.

There was another one, who stayed out of sight whilst his wife did all the talking - wasn't it "Silent Cal" Coolidge?

Reagan thought so, himself. He called the presidency his most interesting role, and the uniforms of the military around him "costumes".
Meanwhile, as I saw on the news yesterday, there's moves to have Hillary Clinton elected in 2016...!
Time to shit yourself, Alastair...! >:D
You obviously need a strong woman to proofread your texts before publishing them.
To me, the important part is what the person stands for, what s/he has done before, what s/he aims to do in future, when I decide whom to vote for. Not what the person has between her/his legs.
Confused?
