That's because Europeans are much closer to the European Scythians. I stated before that the European Scythians got absorbed by Slavic, and Germanic tribes around Eastern Europe and Ukraine. Many of them got mixed with Slavs and Germanics and even their Iranic culture was lost.

Ukraine itself is half Slav and half Scythians.

In the East is Scythian/Iranic/Caucasoid(West Asian) and in West Ukraine it is Slavic(Nordic). And this happened around Balkans as well. Sepcially during Roman times, many of those tribes were mixed and absorbed into Roman territory.
