It is disgusting that Bryan Fischer likens what has happened in the US to the fate of the doomed Jews of Europe as the result of the maniacal policy of the Final Solution. It is simply not decent. He owes an apology to all those who died there, Jews, Roma and gays.

It's funny. I've mentioned this to two or three different people in the past couple of days. If I may be a bit selfish here, the rulings about DOMA and Prop 8 had zero effect on my life because I happen to be straight. My gay friends who were ready to get married either already did so or are still planning the wedding. And the ruling has zero direct impact on me or how I live my life.
Even ignoring the Godwin here, that's by and large true for every straight American. I am happy for the victories; don't get me wrong but for me and my life, they don't really mean much.
