"But if Chinese people are so smart and capable, why is Chinese government so crappy?"
The evolutionary take on this is that, the Chinese (on average) lack the innate biological behavioral traits to get a successful, relatively non-corrupt democratic government to work. In fact this is true for most populations around the world, and only the western Europeans appear to possess the necessary traits in large enough fractions of their population, which was likely the result of unique cultural selective pressures faced throughout their history.

If you can look at the actions of the US government over the last decade and think that it is "a successful, relatively non-corrupt democratic government," I have some ocean-front property in Colorado to sell you.
Show me a government that isn't crappy and corrupt, and I'll show you Elvis, alive, riding a real pink unicorn.
There's nothing in evolutionary theory which says that different races have different behavioral traits. That's all likely social and cultural.
And democratic governments are a relatively new concept, give it time to catch on around the world. As for non-corrupt, well, we're still working on that. It's just human nature that any kind of power tends to corrupt people.
Japan. You fail.
Most of eastern Europe comprises stable democracies, which have been in place for only about 30-40 years. For that matter democracy in most of western Europe is only 200 years old.
Gee wiz, looks like its not that unique after all, regardless of an even recent history of totalitarianism.
"We're more evolved than they are!" JC, there is this thing called "culture" (no, not the stuff that grows on the yogurt, that's another thing altogether). "Education", "society", "history" (stop me if any of these terms sound familiar to you) .... Not every difference in a population is genetic, and you really sound like an ass when you try to make society fit that mold.

Because the Chinese government is conservative.
For over a millenium and a half white Europeans lived under dictators (kings). It wasn't until they got knowledge of the Greeks through the Arabs that the idea of democracy spread through Europe. And given that most of Trump's support is white it seems whites aren't necessarily the bastions of democratic republicanism and some wish to return to dictatorships. Although we already learned as much through Germany and Italy in the 1930s. And Rome, the longest-lasting empire in the West teetered between a republic and a dictatorship. There's nothing intrinsically white about democracy nor anything intrinsically democratic about white people. It was a fortunate accident of history that propelled Western civilization forward.
@Mister Spak
Correct. People assume left wing automatically means liberal but communism has more in common with fascism (which is what modern American conservatism has become) than with liberalism.

Ha Ha Ha ha WRONG!
Also, while I wouldn't fully support many policies of China and other countries it's important to note that Americans are very misinformed about other countries freedoms, lifestyles and laws.
A little research will show you how much misinformation you've received mostly made up to give you this illusion that America invented, developed and practices the only free country in the world. Being Canadian we've been hearing that shit our whole lives and believe me, we did not get our system from you.
Confused?
