Likewise, God's Word cannot be copyrighted, even though wicked people like Cambridge University Press FALSELY claim so. They are arrogant fools, having NO AUTHORITY from God. England is nothing! The English crown is nothing! Pastor Steven Anderson has been legally banned by the same ungodly English crown, forbidden to even land on an airplane in connecting flights in London, because of his courageous Bible-preaching against the sick and vile homosexual agenda which is plaguing society today. Homosexuality is a wicked sin! The country of England is even worse than the United States. I read last year that the murder rate in London has now surpassed that of New York City in the United States. England is a cesspool of debauchery, adultery, homosexuality and arrogance today!!!

Bans

In September 2016, after Anderson had announced his intention to travel to South Africa, Malusi Gigaba, the Minister for Home Affairs banned Anderson and his followers, citing the Constitution of South Africa and stating "I have identified Steven Anderson as an undesirable person to travel to South Africa".

Anderson was also banned from entering the United Kingdom, leading him to change his travel route to Botswana by flying via Ethiopia. On 20 September 2016, Anderson was banned and deported from Botswana.

In a YouTube video, Anderson mentioned a planned missionary trip to Malawi in order to set up a church there. Malawian authorities subsequently made it known that he would not be welcome in the country and that he would also be banned from entering it in the future.

Anderson was denied entry to Canada on 10 November 2017.

On 29 January 2018, Anderson was banned from entering Jamaica.

Is London's murder rate really worse than New York's?

It should surprise nobody that the answer is actually *no* when one realizes that this horseshit claim is only true if you dishonestly use two specific consecutive months in one specific year. Over those two particular months 18 murders occurred in London compared to NYC's 8.

IOW, this claim is based on cherry picking data in an incredibly short period of time and one in which it's the only time it's actually true. When one bothers to be honest with the data statistics show that over just about any relatively recent twelve month period London's average rate of murder is actually roughly 1/3 of NYC's.

It should be noted that this gap between the two cities has been closing over the last several years but that's not because London's rate has been increasing but rather, like most large cities in the US, the violent crime rate has been steadily dropping. The world in general is actually getting less violent, contrary to the fear mongering assertions of a wide variety of assholes who have a religious or political agenda to profit from.

Also, if Dave has an issue with the British Crown holding copyright, under British Law, on a translation that the Crown funded, produced from older scriptures that were also written by men, he is more than welcome to fund his own translation. With blackjack and hookers for all any of us give a fuck. And he can give it away for free all he likes.

Alternatively, if his invisible friend so chooses, it can get off its ass and take care of the problem himself rather than rely on Dave to completely ineffectually piss and moan into the wind about it.

Just a later thought. It's worth mentioning directly that it's not Cambridge that holds the copyright but rather they administrate it on behalf of the Crown. That's been inferred, but there you have it.

I'm not going to bother looking it up as I've already spent enough of my time bothering to verify Dave's other bullshit off-handed claim, but it would not surprise me to learn the the Crown is very free with permissions. That their guidelines for granting them are more about preventing heavy handed commercial printings that might be aimed at cornering the "market" and to ensure smaller publishers are allowed some viability or otherwise curb plain old fashioned greed with limits on margins.

Sometimes copyright management is about the benevolent protection of a work and its dissemination, which seems more likely here, rather than protecting profits or ensuring monopolistic production. Dave's outrage might well be entirely misplaced, and nobody would be surprised.

It's because the King James ordered the translation of this Bible version, meaning the copyright is Crown property and, as such, has no end date.

A work of the United States government, as defined by the United States copyright law, is "a work prepared by an officer or employee" of the federal government "as part of that person's official duties."[1] In general, under section 105 of the Copyright Act,[2] such works are not entitled to domestic copyright protection under U.S. law and are therefore in the public domain.

Which is how it should be. Anything written or published by the government should be free and open for everyone.

Especially something 400+ years old.

The royal family (something I feel shouldn't exist in the first place) is rich enough as is.
