Jewish people living in France who are also Israel citizens may have to give up their Israeli citizenship if a far-right wing French presidential candidate is elected. Marine Le Pen said she wouldn’t allow French citizens to maintain their citizenship in any country that was not part of the European Union, Haaretz reported Thursday.
"Israel isn't a member of the European Union, and doesn't consider itself as such," Le Pen told France 2 TV after she was asked specifically if her plan also applied to France’s Jewish community.
“I’m asking the Israelis to choose their nationality. It doesn’t mean that if they don’t choose French nationality, they have to leave,” Le Pen said.
Neither U.S. citizens nor those from North African countries would be exempt from her ban, Le Pen added. However, Russian citizens would be allowed to keep their dual-citizenship because it “has a place” in what she termed a “Europe of nations” that are “free and sovereign,” the Jerusalem Post reported Thursday.

Why does it make my hair stand on end that A) She's saying these countries "have a place" but are also free and sovereign, which precludes her determining their place at all let alone in any alliance of nations, B) She's establishing a very clear with us or against us mentality, and C) All of these countries are theoretically in range of French ground forces?
I detect a whiff of plans to form a military Bloc, and the inclusion of the increasingly oppressive and ever-hawkish Russia adds yet another unpleasant odor to the mix.
I like how you narrowed it down to Islamic terror, specifically, then forgot that statement includes IRA bombings which they've dealt with a lot longer.
One of those cities is in a country with an active policy of military intervention that directly affects those in Muslim majority countries. The other is a city in a country where the military has literally been forbidden to operate outside their own borders for the last 60 years and of all the people they've fucked with Muslims haven't been on the list.
Arab countries are very homogenous, but they deal with a lot of terrorism too. Ireland is also homogenous and has a wee problem with terrorists. Norway's biggest act of terrorism was committed by a white nationalist who killed more people in one day than the 15 previous terror attacks in Norway combined over the last 40 years... which isn't hard as only one person was killed by terrorists in Norway before then.
Seems like people who pick fights have more problems with terrorists than those who don't. Demographics count for very little.

You can add that the people living in London are predominantly adherents monotheistic religions, while Japanese are mostly agnostics or what amounts to animists. So, what does it tell us?
Le Pen is the heir of a party that was founded by her father. She owes the European Parliament quite a bit of money for employing people under false pretenses (they were not working for her in the Parliament, they were working for the party elsewhere.). Her party is a gathering of nostalgics of monarchy and Vichy, along with a smattering of other deplorables (racists, christian fundies...).
