Actually, two are dead, but I wouldn't blame you for forgetting about George Harrison. He is responsible for some of the Beatles' best-known songs (While My Guitar Gently Weeps and Something come immediately to mind), but he was more focused on Indian culture than John's "give peace a chance" mindset and also died from cancer rather than being shot by an insane fan.
