I am glad that as much of it [New Orleans] is gone as possible. However, Satan made sure he held the water away from his sess-poll of sin and left the French Quarters in tact. Funny thing is that it is up on a high slab and the people's neighborhood houses were built low to sea leavel. God will always win. With that river and lake around those unpredictable levees that is the last place anyone will want to have a convention at or live at until they straighten up and walk right.

Evidently God was capable of murdering all the innocent poor, but couldn't quite overpower the Devil, who, being crafty, planted the sinful parts of the French Quarter on higher ground two hundred years ago!
...although, come to think of it, wouldn't God have known about all this, and known he wouldn't be able to overpower the Devil who was protecting Bourbon street? And, knowing this, God still proceeded to attempt to slaughter the entire city, knowing he'd just be mostly killing the extremely poor and not touching the transvestite stripper shows and bars of Bourbon street?
For god's sake, they even tempt gluttony with awesome food there!
So...God, in his righteous fury, destroyed thousands of homes leaving many innocent people homeless or dead, and still, he missed the object of his wrath?
Well, his aim hasn't improved...

Yeah. In the same way - prior to biting into that cyanide capsule, and equally taking that 7.65mm Aspirin from his Walther PPK - a certain Austrian who thought he had the right to have ideas above his station, said 'I came second !'

...the very religious parts - including churches annihilated - were devastated. Aaaaand... that doesn't tell you something? Cherrie-baby, a word (or two) in your shell-like: Cognitive Dissonance. Ever hear of it?
(Part II):
And there's me - who did RE in Humanities at school - who thought, after being taught in such by a teacher who also had a degree in Theology , that Satan could only influence people; he couldn't actually create, nor destroy anything himself , nor directly control that which God created, least of all Nature itself. Only God could do that.

Funny then, that the last Superbowl - the XLVIIth - was held at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, in New Orleans: which in itself, as per so many commentators/press/pundits etc, symbolised the rebirth of that city.
No doubt that - as per even the humble KC Stadium right here in Hull - that huge roofed stadium has conference/convention facilities; which companies, organisations etc will be able to walk right into, with straight backs, and with pride that New Orleans is back in business. [/mega-smartarse]
