Homosexuals shouldn't have the right to be homosexual. They can have relationships with people of the opposite sex just like everyone else in the world. We didn't win the Revolutionary War and declare independence so people could have sexual relationships with people of the same sex.

Okay then, GetOutOfMyYard; I hereby decree that you no longer have the right to be a frothing dumbass. After all, normal folks find the time to study up on diverse subjects, and so can you.
Oh, and you haven't participated in *any* war, let alone one that took place over 200 years ago; so STFU about how you've sacrificed so much that you can grant or deny civil rights.
Fucktard.
We didn't win the Revolutionary War and declare independence so people could have sexual relationships with people of the same sex.
No, you did it because you didn't like paying your taxes.
"We didn't win the Revolutionary War and declare independence so people could have sexual relationships with people of the same sex."
WE? If people like you had been part of that, the US would probably still be part of the British empire now.
"We didn't win the Revolutionary War and declare independence so people could have sexual relationships with people of the same sex."
No, actually you did. And lots of other things you might disapprove of. That's what freedom is about.
Hey Goomy-- You fought in the revolutionary war, huh? I guess you are the only one alive who can really vouch for which freedoms were being defended and which ones were negotiable.
What else didn't you personally win the revolutionary war for? Women's right to vote? Emancipation?
All sarcasm aside, the revolutionary war was fought so that the colonists could decide these things for themselves without meddling from mother England. That's all. Today, as back then, the only "rights" that anyone had were the ones that they demanded and fought for. There are no "God given" rights. I may be stepping out on a limb, here, Goomy, and guessing that you're not a big reader, but you should know that in America people have the right to have sex with consenting adults of either gender. If you don't like it, maybe you should move the family to Afghanistan.
The words "civil liberties" and "independence" apply to everyone. The founding fathers never wrote "civil liberties and independence to everyone except teh gheys". If they had, you would have a valid point. But they didn't, so STFU.
Homosexuals shouldn't have the right to be homosexual.
- Blacks shouldn't have the right t0 be black.
They can have relationships with people of the opposite sex just like everyone else in the world. [citation needed]
- They can be white just like everyone else in the world.
We didn't win the Revolutionary War and declare independence so people could have sexual relationships with people of the same sex.
- We didn't free the slaves so they could continue to be black
Homosexuals shouldn't have the right to be homosexual.
I'll make a deal with you. I'll convince the fruits to give up their right to be gay as soon as all the theists in America give up their right to practice their faith. Maybe we could make it easier for you guys and pass a Constitutional amendment forbidding Christians from displaying, discussing, or practicing their religion. Does that sound fair?
We didn't win the Revolutionary War and declare independence so people could have sexual relationships with people of the same sex.
Yeah...yeah, we kind of did. The American Revolution was fought to "secure the blessings of Liberty" and to ensure a "more perfect domestic tranqulity". It was also fought to make sure the descendents of the Founding Fathers would have access to the basic Human rights of "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness".
Your attitude would make Thomas Jefferson, John Jay, James Madison, and Alexander Hamilton vomit with rage until the liver bile spewed out of their nostrils. Then they'd clean up with lacy French handkerchiefs and stomp the living dog s*** out of you for p***ing on everything they fought for.
/Homosexuals shouldn't have the right to be homosexual./
Blacks shouldn't have the right to be black. Natural redheads shouldn't have the right to be natural redheads. Arabs shouldn't have the right to be Arab. And on and on it goes...
/They can have relationships with people of the opposite sex just like everyone else in the world./
Except that they don't want to, because it would be against their nature. It would be a lie, and a sham, and unfair for both parties involved. Just like I wouldn't want to date a woman because I'm not a lesbian, and it would be unfair for her and for me to pretend that I am. And you're saying that homosexuals should date people they aren't attracted to just because "everyone else is doing it?" Have you ever heard the saying, "If everyone jumped off a bridge, would you do it?" Parents use that all the time to dissuade their kids from doing what the "popular kids" are doing. What's good for one person is not always good for another.
/We didn't win the Revolutionary War and declare independence so people could have sexual relationships with people of the same sex./
Correction: We didn't win the Revolutionary War and declare independence so that intolerant, hateful bigots like you could tell everyone how to live their lives. Sheesh.
Race mixers shouldn't have the right to be race mixers. They can have relationships with people of the same race just like everyone else in the world. We didn't win the Revolutionary War and declare independence so people could have sexual relationships with people of different races.
unfortunately I believe most fundies would agree with this statement too
No, I'm pretty sure it was against taxation wasn't it?
Oh look, I know more than an American fundy about history! Shock horror!
So....you plan to force people to fall in love and be attracted to who you want them to?
Yeah, good luck with that.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
