[AV, does evidence hold any importance or meaning to you?]
None whatsoever ---
Ecclesiastes 3:11
He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.

AV defines reality as the KJV Bible. If he's serious, it's a waste of time to reply to him, because he adheres to entirely different epistemology: he doesn't share a normal person's basic concept of meaning and verification. If he isn't serious, he's just a troll trying to suck people into responding to his sophistry.
@moose: That's cause Adam's reality is made of awesome and blowing stuff up.
(As opposed to invisible insane sky sadists and the constant threat of eternal fire, as we see here.)
Though he's honest, I don't understand what that random bible quote has to do with anything. Actually, that's the way I feel about the bible most of the time. Reading it is like looking at random sentences that use too many confusing turns of phrase to express some extremely mundane details that more than half the time aren't even true. What's the point?
Ecclesiastes 3:11
He hath made every thing beautiful...
Tapeworms?
Neurotoxins?
Gangrene?
Burst appendix?
Bone cancer?
Blood infections?
Psychosis?
Guinnea worms?
Subdermal hematoma?
AIDS?
I could go on but I will only depress myself by doing so.
"None whatsoever".
Beautiful.
Actually, Ecclesiastes 3:11 reads "For these words are fiction, meant only to entertain. Take them not seriously, else thou will squander the gifts you have been given!"
If AV disagrees, he'll have to prove it. Without evidence, natch.
Romans 1:20: For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.
Now, as you were saying?
What the hell does that even mean?
-"in his time"? Does that mean when God was alive, or that he did it in a leisurely manner?
-What does it mean to have "set the world in their heart"? How would this prevent discovery of the "work that God maketh"?
-Who the fuck says "maketh" and "hath"?
I don't see how anyone can interpret the Bible as anything other than gibberish. Its like reading entrails or tea-leaves. If the big G had intended the Bible to serve as our manual for living, why didn't he write it more clearly?
You know...you gotta give the guy credit. At least he's honest.
And with that, I now point and laugh at him.
*points and laughs*
Ooooo! Can I quote scripture too?
(Apocryphon of John, Wisse translation):
"Now the archon who is weak has three names. The first name is Yaltabaoth, the second is Saklas, and the third is Samael. And he is impious in his arrogance which is in him. For he said, 'I am God and there is no other God beside me,' for he is ignorant of his strength, the place from which he had come.
Confused?
