A Christian parent of a gay son or daughter needs to make clear that their love for that child is unconditional; but at the same time it must be firmly stated that homosexuality will not be tolerated in your presence, nor in your home, nor are you in any way supportive of such wickedness. It is sinful for any parent to support gay rights.

Homosexuality is immoral. It is sin in God's eyes. The Bible makes clear that we are to LOVE GOD more than our mother, father, son, daughter, wife, husband, or other loved ones. That means obeying God above all else.

Actually, the Bible says you are supposed to hate your father, mother, siblings, etc. Luke 14:26 says, "If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple."

The word translated into English as "hate" is the Greek word µ?s?? (miseo) which, according to Strong's Concordance means;
Strong's G3404 - miseo
verb
1- to hate, pursue with hatred, detest
2- to be hated, detested

This is the exact same word used in Luke 6:22 where it says, "Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you,"

So, David, if you do not detest your wife, you cannot be be Jesus disciple. If you don't obey Jesus by hating your own children, then you, David, need to just shut the fuck up you hypocrite.

I see! So earthly love and sex is evil. Love God instead. Got it.

But David, could you please tell me how this particular view differs from, um, certain other views? Allow me to demonstrate:

"Welcome to the sex education lessons, dear children. As we all know, there are three types of love. First is the love between parents and children, and we are sure that everyone is already familiar with this, so we shall not cover it in this book. The second is the love between adult men and women, and we think it is a little bit too early to tell you about that. What does that even mean?
Perhaps it means, “Don’t have gay sex in our presence? Well that should be pretty easy to accomplish since no one I have even met has mentioned a desire to have sex in front of their parents.
Perhaps it means something like the first poster brought up with excessive displays of affection. I can agree with that, most of us find such activities uncomfortable to be around.
But I think the statement most likely means something like this”Don’t bring the most important person in your life to our home. Don’t say anything while you are here that would indicate you have close same-sex friends, that you go places with other people, or make any statement that would invite a follow up question by a guest. If need be, LIE to create the kind of life we wish you had.

That is the kind relationship my husband has with his dad. As long as you don’t stray from the weather, I will let you into my life.
